Yes I did, but when I boot up the computer, I couldn't boot up W7 from my C300. Probably has something to do with the Marvell drivers which would end up having me to reinstall W7 again. But that's just my guess and I don't feel like installing everything again

Actually I just checked my Marvell drivers and they are up to date. I have no idea why it doesn't work then.

Are you using the 1051 driver as part of the drivers package on the first page? Thats the most recent Marvell driver I know of still. I can hook up my WD Black to the MArvell ports or the PCH ports without issue, so the problem might be specifically to do with something about SSD drives. I'll try to get a SSD drive to test with, but not sure how that will pan out ATM as I'm not officially affilliated with Asrock so other manufacturers may not want to send me a SSD to test with.

The only difference between those two controllers is RAID capability:

    88SE9128 (PCIe ×1 to 2 SATA 6 Gb/s ports RAID controller)
    88SE9125/88SE9120 (PCIe×1 to 2 SATA 6Gb/s ports I/O controller)

That's why I said for sake of accuracy. It's just slap-dash comparing something different, albiet how minor the differences, and assuming it's performance will be the same as another. The differences probably are minor but all the same it's still not a SE9120 tested. For example; The P67 and Z68 chipsets are near identical, but for a review I'm doing comparing both chipsets it still didn't stop the Z68 from being around 5000pts better in Aida64s AES test compared to the P67.

Why don't you buy latest generation m4? Price is about 240$ for 128GB.

True, but at least there are results there from a SE9120 so people don't have to apply the "guesstimation filter"

I don't know why it's not on the asrock site but thanks for this.

One thing that irks is that the fatality board doesn't like bclk adjustments. 101 just fails to boot. It's not an overclocker's board I think...

@pythonse, I know of another fatality user who can't also make adjustments to the BCLK, but I might be wrong though. That's at 1.625v LLC1. If I wasn't on water I wouldn't do that. It's hard to find a decent 2600K.

    This is why:
Beta BIOSes are supplied in order to help individual customers, so they are not by default available on our website.

When the Beta BIOS is successfully tested by several endusers, it could be that it will be made available through our website.

It could just be your CPU BCLK is mostly CPU dependent and not the board. Max I can boot Windows at stable is 104.1MHz with my 2500k and the Z68 Extreme4 which seems to be fairly good based on what I've seen from other people using other boards.

Yeah Ket it could also be my cpu that doesn't like bclk adjustments. Anyhow I still am liking this board and getting rid of the clunky D14 made me appreciate the board's bling factor.

Though last MSI MOA's competition I was able to run a MSI P67 GD 65 on a 106mhz bclk with a worse 2600K than mine in my opinion.

edit: probably that 2600K i used in the competition is better than mine lol

Hey just wanted to clarify something bc Im sort of new at this. CPU-Z is reporting ram as single channel, shouldn't it say dual? The rams I have are in the same colored slots (white, I have extreme 4). Am I not turning on a setting?

    @Gepidae

Check that the ram is seated correct.

Try with only one stick in each of the white slot to see if it boots.

Run each stick with Memtest86+ to check so that they are okey.

Could be that you have a bent pin in the socket.

I smell trouble. Although some recent bioses from Asrock seem to address problems with non-graphic controllers but they are concerning the third pcie slot which is fixed at 4x. The second long pcie with 8x is an unknown. Most probably you will have to check this by yourself.
I would recommend extreme4 (both: P67 or Z68) as it has the widest support.
