Eh, why crying over lan? Who uses onboard Lan? I'd rather have an onboard GPU, gaming is for the dogs and suckers, people game on consoles, PC is for farmville. Now a quality NIC, that's rare, and is needed. Why fuss over one NIC, any power user is going to just go buy an intel NIC, no reason to even ship a high end mobo with one, unless you are going to give us a good one.

Also to another poster. You dont need nf200 chip for four way sli, as 990FX has 2x16 OR 4x8 pci ex configuration.
Ahh so all they had to do was license it?

I read that AMD didn't like the whole idea, but its their chipset? =/

it is missing a port. there is a hole where the second port used to be. ud7 usually comes with 2x lan.

for the people wondering, certain power users need more lan ports to connect more lan devices.

for the people suggesting we just buy more lan cards for more lan ports. no kidding. or buy an expensive motherboard with more lan ports.

I'm one of the users who uses two LAN ports and I share my internet connection with multiple computers, yes I could just buy another network card but I prefer the convenience of having an extra LAN port, so freaking stupid that Gigabyte had to remove the extra one.

One thing's for sure, they will be more competitive now than in their Phenom II vs Nehalem days, though I doubt they'll be up to par.

Not so long ago nvidia was producing its own chipsets for AMD, so they didnt want to AMD to have this functionality. Now the game changed.
Besides SLI always WORKED on amd chipsets, you just needed to use an easy driver hack.

Nice, yeah I never knew because I never dabble in the AMD bin.

Good looking board, hope AMD raise their game and really take the fight to Intel, makes for better products at better prices, pretty sure that's what anyone here would want to see

2 lan port is good for teamming, one gigabit per sec is 125MB/s two, is near 250MB/s ...

So when you have a SSD you can have a better dowload/upload, in local ethernet.
