Common guys... this is starting to be pathetic ...

It is a type of cult, a cult of shared identity. No matter how pathetic the cult/religious members are, no matter how many lies politicians spin to their constituents, no matter how desperately people "want to believe," there is always one thing that remains constant: shared cultural identity.

Shared cultural identity is greater then literacy, which is arguably the greatest force multiplier ever.

Shared cultural identity is comprised of three aspects: genetics, unique personal history, and culture. All three of which combine in a hegemony of power under duress of a common goal or struggle or suffering with common rules guiding behavior.

You forgot mentioning the people that are not making comparisons but are posting their unsupported opinions about how a different brand is better. (And if somebody notices the lack of relevant content in their post they cry about how they are being badgered for posting a "comparison".)


PREDICTION: Based on past release histories:

1. If BD is awful they will be here dancing in joy and trolling with abandon.

2. If BD does well in one category but not as well in another they will tout the latter and do everything in their power to make it seem that the former is not important.

3. If BD is exactly equal to similarly priced Intel chips they will be here claiming that Intel is better because they have chips that cost 4 times as much and perform 15% better.

4. If BD is vastly superior they will be here claiming it doesn't matter since it goes against their opinion. (Or they will just disappear for awhile. But they'll be back... like a bad rash.)
