Is there a way to change the multi in Windows using TuboV or any other software tool?

Any words in what were the simptoms for bad B2 chipset ?
Could be anything like that- You really should take advantage of having that board swapped out for a B3.

hmm that's what i was afraid of.

I added an extra fan in my 5.25 bay that lines up with my HSF fan almost perfectly. The rear exhaust fan also lines up with my HSF. It's like a straight shot, in via the 5.25" bay fan, through the HSF and out the rear exhaust.

I'd like to have all these fans controlled by the CPU temp, but i dont think i should power all 4 fans from that one header.

Would it be ok to just take the pwm single and jump it to the other 4 fans i want to control with a separate wire?

I'm not really sure where i could put those temp sensors in order to get a reading close to cpu temp.

Can anyone think of a better way to accomplish my goal?

Yes with ROG connect you can change multi on the fly ( I think you can also do it with turbo V, thought you must have the corresponding BIOS setting activated )

I am unable to do that via turboV, is there an updated one that allows that?

I attach a probe to the IOH heatsink and set a temperature range in the BIOS for it to ramp.

Attach it to the VRM heatsink of the MIVE (R3E has the IOH not this) - it gets quite hot when the CPU is loaded so you should be able to set a profile. Or tape a probe to the outer edge of the CPU IHS.

I tried it out on mine using TurboV and it worked fine for me.

    Set BIOS here like this:

And then go to TurboV in Windows and select the "CPU Ratio" tab... it will allow you to slide the multi (I) up and down... pick your multi and then click apply (save):

Thanks Raja for posting the info regarding these two settings.

I've already been using Offset vcore for my daily overclocks and I haven't yet tested the Clock skew setting but it sounds like it could be quite helpful for higher multi/bclk benching.

    Raja Q for you?
    What about Intel's 6Gb/s controller?
I'm using all 3Gb/s & have no more room, I need to use Intel's 6Gb/s controller.
Anything you put on that controller will cause freezing over time we need it fixed. I've done 20+ windows installs & nothing works...
This problem is posted all over the net & maybe we can get your help.

the only time I see instability is when the hot-swapping option is set wrong. If set to Disabled have you tried Enabled for those ports?

Easy there tiger, the clock skew stuff is only of use if you are benchmarking.

There's nothing to be sad about with a 5G OC. The required voltage really comes down to luck of the draw.
