I did what you said and I think it worked. One hour Prime95 stable @ 70C tops. I tried to do 4.7GHz but the add turbo volts would probably be 0.20 and the temps would hit 77C, which is too high for me. I guess I got spoiled on my Q9650 at 4.2GHz never got past 64C after 8 hours Prime95. Maybe in the future once we know more about what is really a safe voltage I might try again with a different water block.

sounds ok for the beginning but temps r a little high. u can also play around with the other voltages to set them a little lower. maybe the oc guide from sin0822 @ the review section is helpful for u to find a good stable overclock

I think I found the FIX to those BSOD 124 on light load (but LynX stable), at least it seems to have been fixed for me.

No BSOD for 5 days now while I always had one within a few hours to 2 days at max.

After having big trouble with my VGA, I cleared cmos and noticed that VCCIO set as auto is @ 1.18-1.2V by default on the probe at 3.4GHz, while "auto" will lead the VCCIO to be lowered @ around 1.08V to the probe when overclocking at 4.6GHz with manual vcore at 1.35 or 1.38V.

So I bumped manually the VCCIO to 1.18xx, along with previous settings : LLC auto, vcore manual mode 1.38V, phase control Standard, Duty Control T.Probe.
EIST, TURBO, C1, C3 & C6 are all disabled and I'm running happily at 4.6GHz all the time without a hitch now.

Will see if that keeps stable, I'll try to go to 4.7G as it was LynX stable before at 1.375V, but with 124 BSOD on light load also.

So what temps are you seeing sauron? I've read reviews of the Enzotech block I have and they were all good. I have a Swiftech Apogee GTX but none of the hardware for the 1155 mount. I've heard that lately their mounting hardware has sucked so I went with the Enzotech.

as i dont know ur other bios setting ie pll etc.. itīs hard to say why ur temp is a little high. it also depends against the pump, the radiator, cooler, roomtemperatur and so on. if i run linx (fullmem) @4,6ghz (without pll overvolting, regular 0% llc) i hit max 58°, but my cooling setup is different then urs.

upgraded from 1305 to 1503 bios today and my CPU seems to need more vcore for prime blend. anyone else see similar results? I'll revert back to 1305 in a day or so and report back with my results. (I hope it's not my CPU degrading)

ugh, wtf. it refuses to downgrade 1503 to 1305 now. E.Z. Flash says bios file is outdated. A.I. Suite proceeds to flash just fine, but I reboot and it's still 1503. now I regret upgrading.

anyone know how to downgrade bios after upgrading? I know 1305 came with my board so i should at least be able to run that again, but I assume not earlier than 1305 on the B3.

BSOD finally after 6 days @ 1.18xxx for VCCIO, I figured that it's moving around at 1.12 - 1.15 or something at MB's probe while I put 1.18, so now 1.2 and we'll see... Dumb that the board is pruple labelling the voltage input field at 1.2 while default settings put 1.2V easily (read at the MB probe) at 3.4GHz.

hmm, is there a difference between 1502 and 1503? I've had no luck with 1503 sofar

maybe 1503 would downgrade to another 15x since it's the same major release?

although i'd still like to go back to 1305, I had it rock stable (see sig below) but now it needs 1.344v-1.352v for 4.5GHz and 1.360v-1.376v for 4.6GHz sigh :/

mhmm... maybe the member some_one can modify ur 1305 bios, so that it seems to be newer than the 1502. tried last time also to backflash to 1204 -> no chance.

reflashed the 1502 again, did the cmos clear etc.. and now it works fine.

I just looked at the Watercool MO-RA3 Pro rad. Geeze, that thing is huge. Would it fit inside of a HAFX? My rad is tiny compared to the case but the holes might not align.

So we basically have the same temp. I guess at some point there's no big gain using huge radiators.

MoRa doesn't perform as well as 9x120mm of rad space on normal rads.

Not that temp sensors are very comparable from chip to chip, especially on Sandy Bridge.

u can get the mora with 9x120 as well as 4x180mm fans so tell me, which rad performs as well as the mora 3 or maybe better ?

I think my issues with 1503 bios vs 1305 is RAM related. I can't seem to get 1T stable anymore without higher vcore. (1.36v/4.5GHz, 1.38v/4.6GHz) it was rock stable 13+ hours on 1305. anyone else having this problem?

    Read what I wrote again...

I know the MoRa 3 dissipates more heat than other rads, but in terms of dissipation/performance per square inch it doesn't rank up there.

yea, i know what u mean with "in terms of dissipation/performance per square inch it doesn't rank up", but which one will u recommend with better dissipation/performance per square inch ? i am running the mora with 4x180fans 600rpm. i combined the mora with a small" black ice stealth dual and my temps r pretty fine.

All right. So I got my system today, and I've got a few questions.

I'm running a B2 P8P67 Deluxe + 2600K. Bios version is 1503 (latest according to Asus) Cpu cooler is my F1EE with a bunch of fans on it (I'm only in dual core mode).

I've gotten some pretty solid clocks. Since I use this rig for benchmarking, I don't want any of the power-saving features on... so I turned them off.

However, when in Windows, the cpu still down clocks to the 16x multi instead of 45. Can anyone explain this, or offer advice to make it so the max speed is constantly shown?
