I've just checked with the latest Win7 64bit driver (1.0.098) - my patriot Exporter Xt 8GB doesn't work with the EntronTech USB 3.0 controller.

Thanks Ket, that was what I suspected. I reckon, then, that a decent aftermarket heatsink would be better for the PCH than the standard 'bling' heat-trap, if lapping the existing h/s makes a difference.

I don't yet have am Ext4 to play with so it's just speculation, but some other chips may also be affected by heat - clock chips etc - pointing a non contact thermometer around the board and perhaps using ram heatsinks and some frag tape might help.

Lapping the crappy stock HS, using decent TIM and replacing the pushpins does make quite a difference (in my case at least), but its still no replacement for a properly designed HS - if you can find one that fits of course.

^ I already responded to that when you asked use the buttons on your monitor to adjust horizontal and verticle widths, you should be fine after that.

Does it really matter that the bios isn't full full screen on your pc? There are other things to worry about in life... get serious ...

Im using Asus GTX460 and Samsung XL2370 which both were working superbly with my previous 775 setup.

@gurneyhck , this is a bug and if you are not interested in solving it i think it is useless to abuse other people who consider it serious. Regards.

The UEFI is a different resolution to the legacy BIOS AFAIK, this is likely why it doesn't appear full screen. I'll add this issue to the list but its low priority as the problem really is more specific to your configuration (TV not proper monitor) and not a bug. Theres far more pressing concerns atm such as sorting the USB3 issues out.

LOL, you have not much read about this issue then Intel has repaired the flaws and now the fixed M/Bs are signed with "B3", which means they are fixed and have no faulty sata ports. All manufacurers boards are working. I believe that the faulty M/Bs are not even for sale anymore.

Man, it is not hard to google and see for yourself what is going on

Ket, do you think ASrock would be so kind to implement some more steps in voltages like vccio, vccsa, pll? It really bothers me that sometimes I'm unable to hit the sweet spot in pll or vccio...

Thanks, most have missed it when I checked that page last time I was there, hmmm, or have they updated it recently?

Btw, checking out PhysX performance with a PhysX card either in the second PCIe slot or the third PCIe slot, x8/x8 vs x16/x4

I'll mention it to them once we have worked through the USB3 issues

I might be making a very interesting post soon. I'm getting real pissed wih how hot my 2500k runs so I'm right on the edge of taking a razor blade to it and finding out if the IHS is truely soldered on or if its just TIM under there. My gut tells me its just TIM as 88c when stress testing with IBT (AVX enabled) with only 1.34v @ 4.5GHz can't be right.

I tried Offset voltage mode and LLC's are completly differents compared to Fixed mode.

In fixed mode, LLC 1 & 2 are really good.
With Offset mode, LLC 1 & 2 are way too strong.

Not easy to get stable in this mode (offset), I got several BSOD, 0X0a mostly.

Hey guys just wanted to drop a final note. Got the ASUS P8P67 B3 installed today. Had it at 4.6 @ 1.32v in minutes. Its amazing when you have LLC options that don't disappear and voltage that can hold what is selected in the bios.

My experience with the Asrock Pro3 b2 was enjoyable, with the b3 it was living hell though. This board has proven to be a worthy replacement and I'll be shooting for 4.8 or 5.0 now.

Thanks for all the help and advice - good luck!!

I noted down my LLC and Offset reading. Its pretty reliable and you can quickly get a feeling for whats going on. YMMV...
