same as any 3 pin, take the sleeving off, put the tool in and push the cable forward, then give it a straight pull.. shouldnt be that hard.. i find 24 pins to be more of a challenge..

This is a 2.54mm housing and no 4.2mm mini fit so there is no use for "the" tool and you can't push it in from the front (you can but that will destroy the plug)

First you have to peel off the shrink on the plug.
After that you can see some sort of brackets - lift them a little bit with a thin screw driver or a scalpel (watch out, these break if you lift them too much)
And then pull on the cable - but only on the one you are working on (the other 8 are still fixed in the plug)
