    Nvidia does quite well, as does the Core i7 processor.. And I finally found out the difference between Extreme and Very high.. Too bad that Extreme enables AA and blurs everything though..
    GTX 580 beating the HD6990 means Crossfire is not running, which means AMD needs to release a CF profile or a new optimized driver.

    just looking at 6970 vs 570 it seems that nvidia does have a slight edge

    No, the rumor isn't true. Tessellation is NVidia's strong point, so if they're paying 2 million to add DX11 to crysis 2 why would they leave out the feature that they're faster than the competition at?

    Seriously, I don't know where people come up with this stuff--but, it's almost embarrassing to read sometimes.

    Upcoming Cats will give a boost in Crysis 2:

    Spyre

    Crysis 2 is faster in the drivers I have that you guys don't yet and they fix the annoying HDR/Bloom flickering too. I dunno if they would beat the Nvidia card still as I don't have such a fancy CPU to test with, only a Phenom 2 940.

    I doubt it, in fact my gut feeling that a lot of the DirectX11 content is already in the engine... just not enabled could very well be true.

    Code:
     ;WATER
    e_WaterTesselationAmount = 10
    e_WaterTesselationAmountX = 10
    e_WaterTesselationAmountY = 10
    e_WaterTesselationSwathWidth = 10
    Taken from a config file

    But seriously it looks like the game is really taking advantage of multiple cores... i.e. E8500 vs Q6600

    ahtlon x4 @3ghz is half the fps of phenom x4 @3.5ghz, the only difference is a few mhz and some L3

    No one should have to maximize their browser window just to avoid having to scroll to read posts. I don't want to have to use all 2560x1600 of my monitor's resolution just to avoid scrolling because you don't understand how to post a thumbnailed 2560x1600 photo in the thread.

    Thumbnails.

    THUMBNAILS. Do you understand how they work?

    If all the AMD CPU were coming last then your statement would be true.

    Don't confuse the term competing with wining.

    So because someone stands there bewildered at the concept of thumbnails for large resolution photos like they're f*cking magnets, we're supposed to install an add-on?

    Yea ok, makes perfect sense.

    Or just paste the Imageshack link. Christ, it's not that difficult a concept.

    Eh, when reviewers will learn that AMD`s performance doesnt come only from cpu speed.That 1100T was on stock, so 2ghz northbridge.While it would easily do 3ghz.Which should put it roughly on par with bloomfields.

    All the CPUs in that test are at stock so that is a far comparison as if you OC anything on the AMD then you can also OC anything on the Intel.
