    i was running +1/+1 for my rTL's and it was fine for a while but started BSOD'ing on me in games after a while. so i put it to +2/+1 to 60-62-63 for 1866 / 6 sticks at 12gigs and 7-9-7-24-72 1T and it's been workin like a charm for almost a full day now.
    Glad you're running stable now . It took a lot of trial and error to figure out that +2/+1 is the best setting for RTLs. Hope it helps others who've been having mem problems.

    I also took your suggestion and tried bios 0003. Like you said I am needing more vcore than bios 1207.

    However my temps have not improved. Seems the same as 1207 for the most part. Could it have to do with the fact your gulf has different temp sensors?

    BTW interesting info you posted regarding gulf temp sensors I was not aware of that.

    could be different sensors... could be by setting too i'm not sure.

    on a lighter note, i pulled a couple sticks out to just run 6gig. i got 2005mhz @ 7-9-7-24-72 / 57-59-60 +2 w/ 1.7v dram to post. so i got gutsy... i'm tryin for 2133! i got it to post at 10-10-10, i want to get it to atleast stock 9-9-9 but it's being a pain for sure.

    It may be that your memory needs more voltage. I say you try 9-10-9 and see if you can get that to post or pass 32M.

    Are you getting a BSOD when trying 9-9-9 or no post at all? How about your VTT? Since increased memory bandwidth also simultaneously increases Uncore speed you may be needing more VTT voltage.

    On a side note this is a BSOD Error list that I found in a i7 overclocking guide which I have been using. I have found it very useful.

    A: Thanks to Hammer=GOM= there is. He also provided a helpful link to software which will help you see what error code was displayed:
    BSOD viewer:
    http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html
    BSOD codes:
    BSOD codes for overclocking
    0x101 = increase vcore
    0x124 = increase/decrease vcore or QPI/VTT...have to test to see which one it is
    0x0A = unstable RAM/IMC, increase QPI first, if that doesn't work increase vcore
    0x1E = increase vcore
    0x3B = increase vcore
    0x3D = increase vcore
    0xD1 = QPI/VTT, increase/decrease as necessary
    0x9C = QPI/VTT most likely, but increasing vcore has helped in some instances
    0x50 = RAM timings/Frequency or uncore multi unstable, increase RAM voltage or adjust QPI/VTT, or lower uncore if you're higher than 2x
    0x109 = Not enough or too Much memory voltage
    0x116 = Low IOH (NB) voltage, GPU issue (most common when running multi-GPU/overclocking GPU)
    Only thing I want to add is that BSOD 124 for me is always in relation to Vcore and not VTT. Previoulsy I had also thought error 101 was for vcore and 124 for QPI. That has not been the case though in my situation.

    i'm still workin on it... i got it to post with 2000mhz before but now it keeps just hanging on bios. wording comes up on the bottom but the image doesn't show. i'm thinkin my VTT is too low.

    currently at 167x27 for 2009mhz mem 4.5 cpu. VTT is 1.33125, uncore at 3505.

    timings of 7-9-7-24-72 1T (57,59,60 [+3]) with dram at 1.76v though i know it'll do 1.74 since it did it the first time around i just don't remember what my VTT was... i might have set it out of habit from what i had it at with 12gig.
