First I got PSU Problem, min 1200 watt for 6990 CF OC and 26k @ > 5 GH, MY PSU only Tx-950 max i can reach without HANG or Restart is :

6990 CF def + 26k @ 4.5 GH only ( PSU BOTTLE-NECK )

Some of you guys were wanting to know how the 6990 performs with a 6970 in tri-fire. Gaul already posted a few but here's a couple hours' effort this afternoon. They're not done yet, those were just safe clocks of 950/1275. I'll be pushing them more when I have more time.

Hah, I wish! Don't have a second one of these beasts. I do have enough PSU; primarily because I'm using two of them. My bench station only has a 650W so I gave the 6990 its own 800W for these runs.

When ever I try to OC my CPU, and 6990 & 6970 my system will just shut down. My Ultra X3 1000w only has 70a/840w vs the Corsair AX1200 I am buying at 100a/1200w should help with my OCing. I am aiming for a 50K Vantage score

Good idea. I'm using a Corsair AX1200 with my 6990+6970, both at 975/1300, and my i7 2600K at 5.1. 17 fans, 3 dedicated waterloops. etc.

Riock-stable. No problems. 11.4 beta drivers. Playing all my games with max res max settings max AA/AF. Crazy what 1000$ in graphic cards can get you.

I think 1000$ in GPUs really should get you anything though. Quite a lot of money in GPUs in my opinion.

Are there even any current PC titles that need that much hardware to run at max? Honest question.

A single 6990 should be enough to run any title at max at 2560x1600, no? Particularly if the system is heavily overclocked.

I'm not a bencher, but I did a little run this morning just for fun. 6990+6970 Tri-Fire, i7 2600K at 4.9. I can game with much higher clocks, but wanted to be safe. Waiting for my 6990 waterblock.
