Fired up the Extreme4 last night, within 10 mins 5Ghz...! I can't believe how easy it is to clock these new chips, 1.41v, LLC 2, 50x multi job done! This is on the stock bios the board came with, 1.60. Is it ok to leave everything else on auto or should I set them manually?

Manual settings is always best but leaving stuff on auto shouldn't do any harm to anything. I'd also update the UEFI to 1.61 as it fixes one bug inparticular thats quite a bad one.

I have noticed that some people are affraid of setting too high power limits. Keep in mind that those limits are set only to avoid CPU throttling down when it pass above certain value of TDP. It doesn't mather if it's set to 255 or for e.g. 12387126127451284. Your CPU or mobo won't burn.
For some decent OC it have to be at least set to 200.
Mine settings are 255/255/300.

Just got my second Extreme6 B3 replacement and same issue as the first one- does not boot in Dual Chanel Mode- Single is fineI am at a loss here. Cleared the CMOS- Updated to 1.60 BIOS cleared CMOS again and it just hangs- code 45 on the debug LED. Single channel is fine. It is hard to believe that I got two bad boards in a row- my B2 revision was rock solid and never gave me issues.
Someone has to have a B3 Extreme6- did you have any issues like this?
Please suggest before I got to my local shop tomorrow and exchange it for an Asus mobo or something.

Are you sure you haven't been given the same faulty board back? Small stores are awful for pulling stunts like that.

I'd still wonder if they sent you the same dud board back as its very unlikely to get 2 bad boards in a row. I'd start to suspect something else is to blame. It would be ideal if you have your B2 board still to test everything on.

Yeah I tested my B2 board and it works...I had to send the B2 and the B3 Replacement back in order for them to send me back a new B3 replacement. If I would of known that this would cause me so much trouble i would of kept the B2![]()

Its about showing the Extreme4/6 boards are equally as good as other brands and can keep pace with the "big boys". Even though for socket 1155 the boards play very little part in a good SB OC, it will show the boards have refinement.

Just picked up my B3 version Extreme4 board. Everything seems ok, just the issue of not coming out of sleep mode when using a multi higher than 48 still exists. Anybody figure out a fix for it yet?
I don't have this problem.
