From a thermodynamic point of view this is clearly a superior design to the old standard. The key with channels like this is balancing the depth and with of the channels, which is why I would be hesitant to compare it to the XSPC, as small variations in channel dimensions can have huge effects in performance within a given flow bracket. I would imagine EK is using the same sweet spot they found with the Supreme HF in adopting this design and I for one am all for it!
Of course all of this is old news to the vets around here but I just felt like chiming in
