6950 to 6970 flash thread

Hey guys, im thinking about getting a 6950 and have been doing alot of reading about the 6950 flash to 6970. Which brands/manufactures continue to produce the batch of 6950's that is still flashable? I want to make sure that I can flash my card. Thanks!

Noob question, but when you say "reference" one, you mean one with the basic PCB right ? Is there a method to check if a card has it, except by looking at the pictures taken by the seller ?

If I have the card in my hand, how do I tell if the card has a reference PCB? Are there some features on the card that indicates that it is indeed the reference board? Is it supposed to be a certain color?
