Mostly its just that I don't want to learn the new bios yet, also giga's seem to be getting better efficiency in SB, why I don't know.
Take a look at the top 10 of mark01 for the 580.

The BIOS is actually easy to work with... I was able to figure it out really fast. Basically you have to turn on turbo multis to OC(regular multi changing doesn't work so it seems like the board doesn't OC if you try that ) then all other settings are same as giga...
Asus board is up to par in eff.
    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...&postcount=503
'01 needs tweaking... tweak out both boards with one system and the efficiency should be on par again...
Rumor about '01 perf. on Giga versus Asus... Tweak everything then find out.
P8P67 Pro rocks, I'm sure the M4E is awesome too.
    Your choice.
I have a M4E on the way but will have giga too so if I have time I'll test '01 difference fully tweaked for ya man.

Does anyone know the fix for "Automation error" in Wprime, running on Win7 64bit, running as administrator or compatibility mode for Vista or XP did not fix it.

    Good morning Mr. Tilt!
    Hope you have been well.
I have been tweaking pcm05 a bit this past week (W3520).
Waiting for a new SB mobo (killed my last one)
As I have my cascade back up and running, I plan to post a new W3520 run to the bot tonight or tomorrow.

I received another memory kit today, one stick is physically damaged ( knocked off two ceramic caps ), the other one is looking fine but showing errors in Memtest after a few minutes, then it locked Memtest and it wouldn't even boot up a second time with the stick installed. I don't even dare to try the second stick in my REX....

I hope all the other stuff I bought on ebay recently arrives in working condition, I think I'll take a break from ebay now.
That guy had 100% positive feedback by the way. I hate these s...

    Sorry for the rant...

Yah, it's not that bad, I've literally bought 100 things on ebay in the last few years, and I've only been burned three times so far. Once back in 2007 or 2008, and then two times in the last 6 months. Once with a Celeron where a SMD componend got knocked off and this time the defective memory kit. It's just too much in a short time for my liking. It was never anything really expensive thank God, only like 15 or 20 bucks.
I contacted the seller, if he doesn't reply until tonight I'll file a complaint with Paypal.
