Msimax takes sandy bridge for a spin with chew*

So my bud msimax finally made it up here again.

I barely got him to the bus in time for his return home so i'm gonna post his stuff up for him since he didn't have time to post it.

First off UD7 rocks when it posts.....ASUS PRO rocks when it can actually boot into windows.......And UD4 is the best damn thing to bench your hardware on and it stops there.

Can you feel the unbiased love here? We used both platforms for our session.

Anyway, it's quite clear that these platforms all need a bit more time to mature.

Anyway some results done by cooperated effort of Msimax and chew*.

Excuse our poor effec, I used the same OS yesterday on clarkdale for 32m challenge, then we used it for 2d and ATI and NV benching.......yes with friends like me who needs enemies......

    2D first on UD7

    3d01 UD7 and 05 and 06 on ASUS PRO

Ran out of time benching the 480, this session was more of a way to feel the card out anyway, hopefully we can get some magical clocks out of it when we are more focussed and have more time.

Awesome results. Just wondering why 3dm6 was @ 5.5 while everything else was a little higher?

Read my complaint about asus, stability sucked 4core/threads, half the time it would not boot windows, and we know for a fact its not the chip.

For whatever reason we need to run the ASUS on DI to get chip to pass, the ud7 does it fine on cold water though.

06 has a more stressful cpu test than 03/05 which actually dont require a cpu test for a final valid score.

    Awesome efficiency Chew*

Certainly, that does not change the fact that we could boot 5.7 all core ht on on ud7 and not on pro with same identical cooling, we could also pass cpu test fine.

    Wow, great work guys!
    Much congrats to MSIMax!
Interesting the least expensive board? (UD4?) was the best of the 3?
Maybe i need to pick up one of these.
Also interesting - looks like you used psc for some and hypers for other benches.

edit - what is the pci (pcie?) risor card in the picture? Diagnostics?

What you talking about willis, its the best board to bench on top of......the only thing that board is good for is to sit in box, I hear tell however while the chipsets were being fixed they adressed some of the issues, likely the B3 rev is a solid board.

We are just killing time right now...

Alex 32m is most noticable, thats about it. Like 1 sec diff for me.

We weren't full throttle for our 32m run, def more time in it, just with the amount time we had we knew for a fact challenging first place would take alot of time and maybe some "reinforcements" so we just pushed enough to take second, literally like our 2nd run.
