I principally use my H24 settings (4.8GHZ, no PLL, 1.37v, 2133MHz) for testing BIOS and old one seems to work better than the newz.

For 5.4 GHz benchable, I'm at 1.60v (1.615 max I did but no more winning results) .

You think the chip can be degraded and need more voltage with time ?

    Thanks !

Flashed to 1.50Bios, same thing, wth!
Why do u want to have maximum speed (=max voltage, =max power usage(!)) when u're cpu is idle?
    Unless u can't get u're cpu stable @ u're desired frequency I don't understand you at all!

That is THE dream setup IMHO, when idle or just a bit of browsing u're cpu uses much less energy (=money) and when needed it automatically clocks to high frequencies as long as needed.

My 2500K needs more vCore with 1.60A also.
Whereever I was able to LinX(AVX), now I get immediate freeze. Anyway, I'm happy to be able to adjust BCLK with no additional boots etc. Hit 105 MHz(here I stopped, It maybe can do more) and pretested it with no problems.

Vcore remains unchanged for me 1.35v for 4.6GHz, and pending tests it seems like I can even do 4.7GHz on the same voltage now which even with 1.42A I couldn't do.

Same for me, I don't agree with increased vcore usage.

Just for my own curiosity, am I the only Extreme4/6 owner thats replaced all of the stock TIM and pads used on the mobo with proper stuff? For me I swear its made a huge difference, even under heavy load my system barely creates any heat, in fact, most of the exhaust air is still cold.

Cold air is not necessarily a good sign ^^ warm air means your heatsinks are working and dissipating heat into the air, cold air means something is wrong
Nevertheless, the board itself does not create a lot of heat, some of those heatsinks are nearly cosmetic only. Did you replace pads with pads or pads with tim?
I could do this and report back, this board is going to be exchanged soon anyway

Guys, I'm having some "weird bottle necking" with my system , as you can see in the picture, my 3d mark vantage is somehow strangely low! After a googling for a while, Ive found some other results with 2500k and GTX 570/580 which are always higher about 4000 points in both CPU and GPU i.e I have 22.0xx but they usually at 26.xxx points. Also, especially the CPU points, these results run from 4800Mhz-5000Mhz(2500k) , and mine is 5100Mhz and 4000 points lower ! How is this possible ? All the drivers are up-to-date thought >.>

    I'm using 6950 flashed to 6970

    The picture is below:

Your CPU is throttling. Set power limits to 255/255/300.
On 5GHz my CPU score is 25297.

Cold is deffinately good in my case. I take cooling systems apart specifically to make sure everything makes proper contact The heatsinks on the Extreme4 work very well, I've taken those stupid faceplates off I don't like the PCH heatsink though thats a real POS. None the less I lapped it and fixed it in place with some screws and nuts.

I was also having trouble with downloading BIOS files with IE8 from PCTreiber... so I tried with Firefox and I've now finally gotten a clean download for the most recent ASRock Pro... v1.60 BIOS.

    Thanks!

If somebody can point me in the direction of a board that uses the Realtek ALC892 supporting DTS I'll see what I can do about making a driver that supports DTS and TrueStudio Pro.

I'll start pulling the drivers apart and see if its possible to support Truestudio and DTS. If the driver can't do both, I'll see if its possible to replace Truestudio with DTS as I think most would find DTS more useful.

FYI Etron have released a new driver for their USB3 device, v0.96. You can DL it from the first page. The jump they have made is fairly big with their last driver being 0.91 so its safe to assume a lot of bugs have been fixed with 0.96, well worth downloading.

Thanks buddy, I tried poking around near the dimms but I never found a proper measurement. I don't have access to the back of the board either so no joy there. I'll try contacting tech support and see if they can give me some info on the matter.
