It's the Gigabyte X58A-OC , but need say you give me a doubt if the board usw XL ATX or not.
Edit: not if i quote Bit- tech preview of this board .. " The board has the standard ATX dimensions of 263.5 x 304.8mm, and the heatsinks surrounding the CPU socket and X58 chipset are designed to be easily popped off and replaced with copper pots for LN2."
Well not really important, we will get enough time for see how long is this card when review will show up.

Looking like AMD is going to once more push out a dual gpu product with extra headroom as evidenced by the dual 8pin setup. Nothing says they can't design a part capable of handling electrical and thermal loads above >300, it just can't require that much power at stock. Likely where Powertune shows its face once more. I'm guessing they might just sneak up on 6970 core / shader clocks if they are excetionally binned cores.
I'm sure many who buy these will water cool them but I am concerned with how viable the stock cooling will be. I'm getting the impression that overclocking on the stock sink will be asking for trouble unless ones content with >9000RPM fan speedsI've owned 2 dual gpu cards, 1 of which was on water so my opinion isn't misinformed.
All that in mind, if the stock sink manages to handle overclocked loads without sounding like small helicopter, I'll be damn impressed.

again, this is the stock cooler, i believe if you want OC with a stock cooler, the non references cards who will come just after the release of the cards, as the one designed by Sapphire and other should be more appealing for overclocking.
Anyway i join you on this: anybody who want OC a dual gpu cards, should look to watercool them. silent ( well depend what fans/rad you are using ), the cards stay cool, on idle, when you watch a movie, when you play, when you push them. The ambient air in your pc stay cool, no worry to have about dust and degradation of the coolers.

Only one fan huh? Mhhh
These cards are being released too late to be relatively decent purchases. Both NV and AMD are known to kick back driver development when an new generation is out. Considering these card(amd and NV) are both too big and too expensive to produce, I think when 28nm comes out, they are going to let it get replaced ASAP. Your going to have less than year of full driver development if AMD and NV cut back driver development with the release of new cards. Considering how long it took for the 5970 to have stable drivers(10.4), these card would have been a lot better to be released last year, but now it too sketchy in terms of future software and hardware stability.

late yes, but.. i don't know, I don't think we will see anything before Q4.. so this leave, 8-9months good for them. It's not shorter of the 470-480 or 460 life. And if both cards deliver, whatever it is Nvidia or AMD, the guys who got it, will not really need change it on Q4.

If the gpu core clocks are only 830, that is lame for using two 8pin connectors. Amd should realize load usage does not matter as much if you can cut the idle to be less than 2x6970s. Looks like getting 2 6970s was the smarter choice this time out.

Actually, the card has two settings, one is 830Mhz and the second is 880Mhz, however, with that much power I would imagine they will overclock nicely.
