I appreciate the support!
It's just a little frustrating that the drivers have gotten worse for my setup. I could see not getting significantly better but actually getting worse is amazing.
I understand AMD has no incentive to support my cards. It would be better to force me to eventually upgrade if I want to play my games with all the new shinyness. I'm 100% convinced I'll get a single strong GPU next time and stop messing with crossfire.

This week I've really been considering a 6850 but after this thread even a GTX 460 768mb version is sounding good. Seriously why can't AMD ever get their crap together and just put out good drivers.
i3 2100, MSI H61M-E33. 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws.
MSI GTX 460 Twin Frozr II. 1TB Caviar Blue.
Corsair HX 620, CM 690, Win 7 Ultimate 64bit.
Maybe it is not the drivers. I play BFBC2 with 11.2 and have no problems, even in 3D too.
they work perfectly here.
Xeon W3520 @ 4.0Ghz ~ 3x 7970 ~ 12GB DDR3 ~ Dell U2711
I assume it is the drivers since after updating, it stopped working
Going to uninstall and go fresh with the 11.1's
update:
uninstalled from windows, deleted the ati and amd folders under c:
uninstalled msi afterburner
booted into safe mode, used drive sweeper
boot into windows, installed 11.2's
installed trixx
played bc2 for about 45 mins with no issues!![]()

Had Catalyst 10.11 before, no issues...
updated to 11.2 following the above procedure and cursor lags randomly all over my desktop , not only upper right screen...
Anybody who thinks ATI need to go back to the drawing board and re-write their Catalyst drivers from scratch raise your hand...

I can't believe how great of hardware they can put out in such a short amount of time. But creating drivers to run it seems like it's done with a very dysfunctional bunch.

Not just dysfunctional, slackers too it seems. I can't remember the guys name but hes always putting up pointless tweets on twitter about what concert hes been to, indeed, it always seems like hes at concerts and never doing his job![]()

Well, heres my first error ever with ati.
Anybody playing bulletstorm on HD69xx ?
Some shadows are alled up and setting high gfx details gives you only half of the screen with the postprocessing done :-/.
Anybody have found workaround to this ?
I am, bulletstorm is pretty buggy man, not sure if thats a pure ATI problem. Do some looking around on that game, NV is plagued probably worse than ATI

Nah, ive read bout it, this particular "bug" is present only on HD69xx hardware, VLIW5 ati cards and nvida ones do just fine.
And that sucks ,cause this game is awesome.
Really, Kill with skill.
Meh its fun game but not worth 60 bux, turn down PP and it goes away and it really makes no difference visually

It feels like the driver team is not in sync with the CAPs team...
broken driver -> hot fixed driver -> broken caps - > fixed caps - > broken driver -> fixed (hotfix) driver -> broken caps, etc....
I'm still on 11.1a hotfix leaked driver and no caps. Just run Radeon Pro to setup my own profiles and deal with bug work arounds until the next hotfix driver.![]()
Removing the cursor shadow will cure the mouse lagg in the upper right corner.
Im wondering if anyone have been able to force maximum performance clocks, this is really essential to me since i have massive screen tears when the memory clock speed changes wich it often does when im surfin the web or just using random programs. Would really appritiate some help with this problem.
Cheers.
