Oh yeah..... got sidetracked yesterday thinking about my stuff & forgot to say.. nice CPU/RIG etc the force is strong in that one

My 8.9.8's should turn up today so I should have something to tinker with over the weekend. It will be good to see how your 8.9.8's run against your 7.10.7's keep up posted.

Funny you say that with your spec... I have had a few lockups posting with F6d & put it down to pushing the board/bios too much. I mention this as when I was trying to put the squeeze on my last 2500K I had several post hangs & on 3 occasions lost my OCZ Vertex. It wouldn’t get detected hung at detecting for ages then got past that & got into bios but the drive wasn’t there. I finally corrupted both bios's & figured enough was enough. This hanging/detection & corruption problem never happened with a normal SATA drive.

Have you asked Dino... he has both UD5 & 7 & may be able to advise what he found.

This GSkill stuff is great RAM, not worth upgrading to for 24/7 as the boost is vsmall but boy do they crank benching... 6.9.6.20 no problem, can pull twl into 6, tras down to 62... they get AIDA latency into the low 33's @ 5G all in all I'm v happy to have such flexible RAM.

Thanks mate, I didn’t really need them but figured as I will save a few hundred on my council tax bill this & next month they were like free

    I haven’t got any spare time atm & tbh I'm stoked to be able to run 5G 2133 8.9.8.20 1T @ 1.62v 24/7 anything extra I get benching will be a bonus.

I have never been into Pi I've just used it as a basic stability test for RAM & the time whatever it is don’t matter as long as I can improve on it I'm happy. However as I run out of things to over clock this 5G 32M efficiency thing people are doing is looking exciting. I find myself reading up on OS & Pi tweaks, haven’t tried any of them yet but it’s very interesting. I have run Pi 32M a few times with the new RAM & tbh on rated voltage they don’t do anything I couldn’t on the OCZ's its benching that separates them as the GSkills go a bit tighter & run very stable on a bit lower voltage.

Getting there my friend, just need to work out how to better the efficiency as its a fair bit off what I've seen others do so I'm sure there's still room for improvement.

    GTX3 yes.
and Corsair Dominator GT 2133 CL9 (the DIMMs need only 1.5 Volt to operate at 2133 MHz with 9-10-9-27 timings).

Can any of you 3D guys try something out for me....

In Bios press CTRL + F1 to enable a couple hidden features then up your PCI latency from 32 to 128. I have tested this about 5 times now & appear to gain a couple hundred points in 3DMark06 & wondered if you guys see the same.

CTRL + F1 also allow you to disable spread spectrum.... something I usually disable when overclocking. Having said that I can’t see that on my rig it makes any difference.
