Hey guys I just tested my ram running with No Execute Mem Protect disabled from within advanced bios section which on the UD7 gained some speed, it works with the ud5 as well. I shaved about 5 secs off my 32meg Pi time. Thanks Dinos22, Chew and C-N for that.

Here is my spi23m with cpu maxed out.

Ram issue I'm having is that I can't lower tRCD to 9 like I want.

BTW, thanks for the pm flesheatinvirus. I'll keep trying at it.

Very nice Pi score even at 10 trcd, you got me beat. You guys are pushing some real nice 32meg Pi scores there right on the edge of sub 6.

You not the only one, my ram will go maybe 2000MHz 6.9.6 / 7.9.7 much past that performance drops off then further past that bsod

I was extremely annoyed with all of this cold boot issue and (knock on wood) i think i might have cracked it for the last 2 days. I don't want to bring anyone's hopes up but it appears to be extremely related to the CPU clock + PCI card + the power line of the house going to your system + the quality of the Active PFC on your power supply unit. ( Did i just mention like 90% of the components, lol)

So what i did first was bought a voltage regulator that connects my rig + monitor only and as soon i fired it up it registered that my line was overvolting and the unit was correcting it. Next i lowered my CPU down to 4.6 ghz and left the voltage a little bit higher - same as for my 4.9 ghz stable clocks. Ram was set to 2133mhz Cl7 as with its specs. At these settings my machine was having problems cold booting before w/o the voltage regulator but now it seems to be running fine for the last 2 days w/o any cold booting issues. At the same time i noticed a bit higher values for the 3,3v line from ET6 with the voltage regulator which suggests that the Active PFC of my power supply was not coping properly regulating the voltage from the house line. Also i noticed that BCLK exactly at 100mhz was making things more stable than to let the mobo default it at 99.8mhz.

First i would suggest to try and lower your CPU speed down to like 4.4 ghz with memories at the right specs and slowly build it up multi by multi until it starts cold booting or if it is cold booting w/o any CPU overclocks try and get a voltage regulator - it is always better to have one anyways (~30$). Right now if i increase the CPU multiplier to 47 it has issues cold booting from the first time but it is stable once it boots to windows, up to 49 multi with 2133mhz ram. This is all still testing things but so far i had like 5 successful cold boots w/o any problems with 2133mhz ram (XMP - profile1).
I had cold boot the first time I turned it on (with PCI cards). And now, even without overclock sometimes it still boot twice when restarting or turning on. Most of the times it did not have any issues, but there is that 1 out of 5 of twice or three times booting-re-booting. And I intentionally still haven''t passed 3.9 Ghz overclocking.

I was saving my money to get one of this CyberPower 1500EAVRLCD
    Still long way to go

Once while doing memtest my RAM was read wrong even if in the post and then OS read it right But anyway, I noticed a new problem: CPU-Z grayed out my RAMS??? For Instance I can't see my RAM in any of the 4 slots.. All grayed out.

If after reboot there is still this problem gonna reset CMOS tomorrow.

Thats just coz F6 has no internal PLL overide no? My 2500K only makes 49 without int PLL.

Yo! The problem is solved here, BCLK set on 100, RAM set to native 1600 CL8, 1.54 V, everything else set on Stock(including VCore, Turbo, C1E, C3/C6, TM, EIST, ect.), CPU-Z recognizing everything.
Multiplier 45 X, 31°C idle, 60°C running Intel Burn Test.

Serve my purpose, so won't push it higher.. For now

But sometimes still having cold boot issue that says unstable OC so I have to load the profile every time it do that nasty thing!

Let us know how you get on, would be quite cool if it all works in XP. I'll give it a go on Server 2003 later tonight & report back.

    Will do!

I'm sure you also need to install the Intel HECI drivers too, without those Easytune doesn't work in XP either (I think it does with them)

I'll let you know in about 10 minutes if it works in XP or not, unless there is another update I need after the one mentioned above installs.

No luck on XP, it doesn't install. This is a fresh install without any updates, so maybe something is still missing?

I installed HECI, the required .NET 3.5 SP1, and the latest Chipset driver, so not sure what else is missing but it doesn't ask for anything else during the install?

Error 1722.There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Looks like missing .dll maybe?

Someone probably will, looks like we may just need to add that .dll and register it.

It does an OS check during the install, and it goes right past that, which it shouldn't if it's not for XP. So I dunno?

Not worth much anyway, I was just testing in 7 and you have to reboot to apply anything. I only tested Bclk change and CAS though, expected CAS to be a no go but Bclk change needing a reboot means this doesn't have anything on easytune. Voltages are probably ok without a reboot though, but it wouldn't surprise me if that also said please reboot

Shouldent be a problem to add & register it..... he says!!!

    Oh..... nice monitor then!!!

Looked like it gave an indication of the Internal PLL voltage... the actual voltage? & the sub timing thingy looked interesting too.

That's what I was thinking, just didn't have time to do it right now is all.

Ya, I noticed that about internal PLL in the video, then forgot to look when I was playing (I'll look at that real quick now)

I'll play with it more later on, but by then I'm sure you guys will all be far ahead of me and already have it up and running on XP
