I hope these publishers also take into account games like WoW, a lot of gamers are addicted to it and won't touch any other games, so "potential" loss of revenue can be blamed on them, just like pirates who wouldn't buy the game even if they didn't download it.

The Cry-Engine 3 is excellent. after playing Vietnam and call of duty, this is a wonderful step up. Granted, i expected more in the physics and destruction but that could get better with the final release. sucks that it does not support sli and there are no other options apart from selecting one of four presets. on 'hardcore' graphics setting i never saw over 62fps so there is screen lock going on.

A small step for Crytek into the console wold, a giant step backwords for graphics development.

Welcome in a world where older often means more advanced, the warped world of console gaming.

It's a fun thought experiment thinking what "2011" graphics would look life if the only innovative medium (the PC) had not died, and a very depressive one...

^How Crysis 2 could had looked liked and how it eventuated to look -see above
(thank you consoles I'm sure your next gen of consoles would be as sh*tty as this one).

2nd picture is not crysis, or any game for that matter. It looks like a real picture shopped.

did you try installing this? http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/e...1-50ceb6d8fa8d

i know it sound silly but it usually solve almost everything with games. i can play everything from a full decade on W7x64, a few of them requires finding a modded .exe like doom 3 or editing the .ini or .cfg like fallout 3 for example

Nope it's CG, but there's a good chance that modern cards were able to play such a thing in Realtime (imagine GTX 580 SLI using their *full* power on a code that was written with them in mind).

    Here's the real lifesys

Judging by those screenshots looks like this game will rape your video card with the highest settings just like the first game. I wonder how this game will fare in GTX 580 SLI and 6970 CFX.

Seen this a while ago, I might get this, gives my modem something to do while testing and later on I can test my system with this game.

I haven't played the previous crysis game (1 plus expansions?).
Nor farcry 2, heard it sucked anyways.

    Plus I'm a collector.
I love beta's if the final is worth anything.

Reminds me of doom3 leak by ati along time ago.
Hopefully you don't have to hack it together to play a level and manually load the levels in the console.

The graphics don't look to great from the screens above...
I'll have to check it out for myself.
AKM's screen looks the best, and it's got the nvidia glitches all over it lol, in the water droplets on the screen (it's normal for nvidia card's to render like that...).

You're comparing DX10 max. settings versus DX9 on medium

    dunno,

from what i've read all around, leaked beta is dx9 only, with a lot of bugs and sound issue.

maybe dx9 is only for testing, and final relase will be dx11.

it doesn't look bad at all btw!

yes its really bugy and by the way a guy on youtube wrote that its a console port because it only uses 14 percent CPU usage from a i7 860 and only 600MB vram from a GTX 570
    http://www.youtube.com/user/toutagam.../0/brorOkqjxhQ
    LOOK IN THE DESCRIPTION
thats with DX9 with the highest settings.
DX 11 will be probably better.I REALLY HOPE FOR DX11
AND i dont care about requirements. I have GTX 570 SLI,it should handle it
