Look at the tables and that doesnt seem so, the good ones are spread all over the place with plenty of below average ones filling the gaps, there doesnt seem to be a pattern at all.

Your CPU seems to throttle.
@5.3GHz, my score is more 10.20-10.30.
Use Thermal Monitor and check if the frequency doesn't fluctuate.
edit : Sorry amdsempron, I didn't see that's a 2500K. Apologizes![]()

Even with batch(s) that people have had some luck and have posted decent results... strong clocking chips appear to be very random. There are some L050Axxx available here locally and I'm now considering an A batch since I've already tried/tested both B and C batch(s). I more or less have resigned myself to expect that most new samples will most likely fall into the average catagory.
Ryzen 9 on the test bench... Sometimes older generation/tech as well.

For most of use that are hunting for the golden one, it costs money. Woldnt it have been better if Intel made a new produkt 2600KX or something with only the highest binned 2600K - with a guaranteed mp of 56 or higher ?
still cheaper than what most of us spend looking for E8600

It could be due to the load your GPU places on the PSU/motherboard.
I had an OC 100% stable with a Q9550/P5Q/8800GTS512, but as soon as I plopped in a 4870 I had to bump my vCore up a notch to keep stability.

heatware
Depends on temps as well.
Kinda pointless to run prime if the temps get to 90C (and thus crashes and bombs), and black ops doesn't top 65C, and runs 8 hours stable...
But that's for gamers. People who use their system for other things may need prime 8 hours small fft stable.
I only use these cpu abuse programs for extremely short time periods now, just to make sure I can actaully launch something without corrupting the OS. (except Prime Blend, which is VERY useful for making sure the memory or IMC is working properly).
All my systems are 24/7 stable by 8hrs small fft then 8 hrs blend. I test them roughly by using Linx 25 passes with around 3-4gb of ram test out of 8gb.

Guys, same here, I emailed ocuk to ask what batches they have but he cant tell me, no actual stock on hand I guess. A few guys over here ordered from ocuk when there was no stock here and one got a L040B307 (the same batch as 1day's). Has anyone bought from OCUK lately? Do they have C batches?

i got one from ocuk and that was L040B307 and got one from local pc shop and that was l040b307 as well one needed very high core 1.65ish at 5373 and other same batch only needed 1.5 at 5387 both these went on 54 multi and roughly same max frequency and would not ebven boot at 5mhz higher even though could do all 3d tests pi etc at 5mhz lower
Isnt it crazy, such variation in a high-ish end (well it is sorta high end) cpu. Imagine the personal cost to experiment like this with 980x's....
