i5-2500K/2600K batch number and o/c results

At least at my local 3 Micro Centers 2600K and 2500K sale still going strong (even without any P67 mobo on the shelf)

On the week of 1/29 most of their inventory were batches L042BXXX and L050AXXX. Just last night all were L041Cs

Interesting, so they are suddenly bringing out many C-batches out of the magic hat now?

If I may speculate a bit, Intel tend to bring out good batches whenever they want to push the marked for more sales. They did it with w3565 (If I remember the model# eight) last round. They kept some good week-48-batch# in storage for over 1 year and used it in w3565 to push new sales, in last round.
Based on these speculative logic, Intel may be trying to regain some marked that has been shattered by failing MBs. Anyways, I hope we can see more of these C-batches in action soon.

My 2600K L041C108 from MC won't go >52. 52 boots to windows @1.4V, but 53 and up is a no go. Got 53 up to 1.62V and it froze in bios

Its the chip. The same batch but different multi or freq. wall

I have heard that L042B076 is one of the best, Is that true? If so then i'm very lucky

Not realy there are better Batches, my 076 runs 5,0Ghz @ 1.416V and i see a lot wit 5Ghz @ 1.35V or less

Actually i think the C Batches in Germany are very good! They run 4,8 @ 1,25V to 1,28V and the Temps are realy good

I started to doubt that same batch of SB will perform similiar...after testing a few of them.
Then again my goal is to find one that can go high in multi and freq.....stricly for benching and not for 24/7 stability, low Vcore on air

For now all we can do is keep looking until we found one that fit our specific needs....either for raw high mhz benching power or smooth low power efficiency 24/7 kinda rig
