Yeah. I experience same thing. I was able to boot and test only once at 100.1 and no any further changes were successfull. It just doesn't boot.

    [Edited for more refined detail]

These observations have been made comparing UEFI 1.42 to UEFI 1.5 on the Extreme4. Below are issues still present or added with UEFI 1.5 along with recommendation for future UEFIs for the Extreme4.

    Legend:

    Green - Minor issue
    Yellow - Elevated issue
    Red - Serious issue
    Purple - Removed options
    Black - Recommendations

    Still present in UEFI 1.5:

    - Full screen logo [Disabled] option is not saved into profiles
    - Using Clear CMOS button results in all saved profiles being wiped!

    Added problems with UEFI 1.5:

    - Adjusting BCLK frequency results in the board failing to POST
    - Disabling Spread Spectrum results in the board failing to POST
    - When installing a USB2 Quickcam Pro 4000 connected to the rear USB3 port(s) the system will BSOD, pointing to the etronxhci.sys driver.

    Removed from UEFI 1.5:

    - "Good Night LED" option
    - "Onboard Debug Port LED" option

    Recommended improvements for UEFI 1.6:

    - Put "Good Night LED" and "Onboard Debug Port LED" options back in!!
    - Add DRAM voltage monitor to H/W Monitor page in UEFI
    - Increase Vcore range from 1.52v to 1.6v (Yes this is possible)
    - Fix outstanding bugs in UEFI 1.5 (of course)

I just finished playing with my Ripjaws a little more, heres what they are at so far. Not bad for a £80 kit

    subs : 10-88-7-8-8-33

I think it's possible to do better with frequency and timings but not so bad for a 70€ kit.
To be honest, I don't understand how the motherboard handles past 2133 ram frequency ? Is it concording with the Blck ?

Does anyone know which setting disables Load Line Calibration? if I reset the CMOS to all defaults it's there. Once I disable all the power saving stuff and other junk I dont need it's not even there any more. Just wondering if anyone knows off hand which setting when disabled makes LLC disappear from the bios.

    Thanks

Looks like you probably have the same ICs I do on your kit. They can do 9-10-9-25 10-75-8-8-25 1T rock solid @ 1.6v. The timings won't go much lower than that without bumping the voltage quite a bit. On the plus side with those timings the kit is probably good for 2200+. Only way to manipulate memory speed past 2133 is with BCLK adjustments so your probably looking at a top speed of about 2225MHz.

If you just plugged the USB stick in after entering the UEFI thats why it can't be found. Plonk the USB stick in while booted to Windows or while the system is off, restart/power up, enter UEFI and the stick will be found.

    did that, but nothing changed

    EDIT:
just flashed successfully , issue was with filename - P67EXT41.50
to be exactly that particular dot

Thats weird. Even with the shipping 1.1 UEFI the format the files were saved in the built in update program recognised. When possible I still flash from pure DOS, less risk and no complications as by flashing from pure DOS the UEFI has already been read and loaded into memory. By using builtin update programs I'm pretty sure a BIOS / UEFI has only been partially loaded into memory.

The ASRock P67 Profesional's most recent BIOS (1.5) still has the 1.52v vcore max limit. Okay for daily running but not for benching high multi. They need to update the BIOS like Extreme4 to 1.7+. Vdrop is pretty close to spot on... board fluctuates from 1.512v to 1.520v in CPUz when at idle with vcore set to 1.52v fixed. Vdroop drops to 1.400v load while running WPrime 1024M LLC... level 5.
Ryzen 9 on the test bench... Sometimes older generation/tech as well.

Set LLC to level 1 (most potent) and try fiddling with the turbo additional voltage option, it may override the maximum allowable voltage set by vcore alone. The only UEFI that allows 1.7v for the Extreme4 is 1.43A and thats beta, 1.5 for the Extreme4 maxes at 1.52v.

cant wait to get my hands on this board

    EUFI:

    could it do the internet?

browser inside of EUFI (browsing xtremesystems/overclockers.au and reviewing everyone elses bios settings - currently i need another PC to do this which depending on how many computers at the time that are working may be a problem) is the most obvious and useful feature
how sweet would cloud based bios settings be (as an option), say you goto asrock.com/users/fantastadon and bam, all the motherboards i own are right there, along with the bios settings i am currently using along with a history of previous settings/failed overclocks etc, from there we get nice forum sigs with live motherboard info :P and if you did this in the EUFI browser you could just download someone elses settings (specific to CPU/mobo/cooling) ehhh im bored

Theres much fun to be had for sure As long as you avoid spread spectrum and trying to adjust the BCLK clock options (for now anyway, their bugged even with UEFI 1.5) the board is stable and a bonkers OCer of memory. Took my 1600MHz G.Skills to 2133MHz @ 9-10-9 1T.

Feed 1.65v, and you might be able to tweak them to 1866 tops at something like 9-10-9 2T, it just depends what the ICs are.

Level 1 should provide ~1.52v load but I haven't tested. I came accros the limit by using offset vcore and once over/beyond +250... I noticed the vcore didn't rise in BIOS so I switched to fixed vcore and saw the 1.5v limit.

BTW you find that enabling "spread spectrum" hinders your o.c.? or is that just bclk o.c.? Do you know what this feature actually does?

    Spread spectrum and BCLK are very buggy on the extreme4 even with UEFI 1.5. I'm sure Asrock will fix them up but it will probably take a couple weeks because of the chinese new year an stuff. As for Spread spectrum I'll just take a explanation from one of my papers on what it actually is;

Spread Spectrum is a method by which the signal from a electromagnetic, acoustical or electrical signal generated within a particular bandwidth range is deliberately spread, resulting in a signal with a wider bandwidth. If you come across this option in your BIOS - disable it. By doing so the signal will be narrower, which should help with OCing, and if you happen to be using on-board audio which runs over a PCI-E lane, could even improve clarity for it a bit.

Just want to know when Asrock starts to process the recall of thier P67 mobo. The retailer exxx.com had very bad return policy (like 30 days for them to receive the return after invoice and has to be unopened), even for P67/H67 situation). Sent them more than 10 emails and still I have to meet the 2 conditions to get refund.

Thanks for this thread, Really liking the extreme4. Running 1.5 bios at the moment that seem pretty decent other than the couple of qwirks that have allready been brought up. Here is where my setup is at as of now.

Ok started playing with ram settings to see what my sticks will do but for some reason my settings will not stick and the reboot fails. when you finally get back into bios it will have some goofy timings in there....not what i put?? This is on 1.50 bios. Only thing that seems to work is the everything on auto and the XMS profile loaded, cant seem to get anything memory related to stick when going manual setttings. Anyone else have this?
