@sam- I have a kill-a-watt that I will take some scientific readings from tonight. I will post overall system power measured at the wall, while running Kombustor while the GPU has volts of 1.01 thru 1.15. My initial observations were just by watching the output from a power conditioner I run my PC thru. Definite variations in the amperage. I will post more scientific numbers tonight.

@bhavv- flashing a bios really wont gain you anything. All you will find is different stock clocks along with a different vGpu. Unless you wanted to eliminate the "hassle" of running Afterburner/Rivatuner to OC your GPUS. A different bios could also change memory timings, but with the proliferation of cheap GDDR5, I am guessing every gtx560 made will use the 5gbps Samsung chips, thus no changes in mem timings from board to board.

I thought about trying another card as well, but pretty much all manufacturers are wise to the OC ability of the 460/560 and will bin their cards accordingly. I think unless you got lucky, you are going to have to pay up for a guarenteed 1ghz+ OC.

I think that these would all excell at low temps/high volts. Fermi loves watercooling. Not a path I am willing to explore at the 40nm/$250 node however.
