Hope, next beta BIOS for UD7 will implement as latest Maximus IV Extreme BIOS 0950/0951:

    0950
    - Fixed Memory ratio sometimes not changing bug
    - Fixed XMP + OC Load profile bug
    - Adds Memory Bandwidth Turbo for performance improvement
    - Fixed Wrong Target CPU Speed shown after Clear CMOS
    0951
    1. Enhance support for high performance DRAM
    2. Improve XMP module compatibility
    3. Adds new option Memory Bandwidth Booster for better DRAM performance

sin, that and implenting a EFI bios

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

    all four banks filled

Was wondering if anyone knows how well these P67 boards overclock with all four banks filled with ram as opposed to just 2 banks in a 2x2gb vs 4x2gb configuration?

    thanks.

seem to overclock pretty much the same as using 2x2gb, seeming as the IMC and overclocking is individual not linked like the x58 platform.. I've seen 16gb clock almost as high as 2x2gb just looser timings .. Awesome thin about Sandybridge is it still offers unreal performance with loose timings, it loves the higher MHZ

damn, something with my system seriously degraded. I get BSOD's all over the place.
Never took chip over 1.45V and it NEVER even saw 70C (got to 68c once)
    so disapointing

Well, i said crap, start from scratch, with everything back in auto I have been able to pass a few 3dmark11 runs at 4.5. I try 4.6 6+ reboots to get going again.
went back to 4.5, and just upped mem to 1600 from 1333 (corsair vengeance
1600C9) and it wont do it. i WAS running F7A 5ghz. I really think something got pooched, the board or the cpu. I had been running 1.66 ram volts. (using corsair 2000 C7's) also tried mushkin 1600
6-8-6- stuff and same. I am going to reload F7E as it at least seems to reboot less times to get going again.

These are exactly what i need right now for my UD5 !!!

    @Nostromo
, just leave your memory to AUTO until proper bios is released.

Well, the reboot issue I spoke of earlier, was more like a shutdown-restart.
I finally reflashed F7A using bootable USB stick with necessary files on it, instead of flashing through windows. failed OC much better now. maybe one shutdown restart. My poor power supply, and video card. Been using a SSD in stead of HD because of all the restarts. When looking for a template to fill my info, I found someone elses and used most of the settings, with a few changes.
this is where I am at now. been priming in blend for about an hour highest core 62C (apogee XT).

This is with my corsair dominator GT's 2000C7

EDIT:Bah, stopped prime, and ran 3dmark11 bench only. second pass Blue screen..

Leaving the rest of my template as above, and changing multi to 50, and vtt 1.2
no successful post, and after a few reboots, board powers on and off with nothing displayed in post LED.

    Nice template

One thing I have noticed with my 2600K is the IMC is a lot weaker than my 2500K. My 2600K would not do over 5.1GHz 8.9.8 / 8.10.8 it needs to be 9.10.9 to pass Linx where as my 2500K can bench 6.9.6 no problem & 7.9.7 is LinX stable with enough voltage..... maybe try 8.10.8 with everything else in mem auto & std performance enhance.

15 mins short test 1 hour long Prime 25.11 custom 4096-4096 with as much ram as you can spare is a decent test to check ram timings/voltages etc. I also find my 2600K likes up to 1.18 qpi/vtt depending on how high & tight you go with the RAM. My 2500K likes only 0.88 qpi/vtt to do 2133 8.9.8 @ 5GHz!!!

    Ummm

dinos22 onething I noticed your sli setup is running one GTX580 pci 16x slot running @ 8x 2.0.
I have mine running both at 16x 2.0, I'm going to move one card to the same setup you have.

    I'll post back.

Dinos you have only 1 HDD hooked up. I wonder if it might tbe SATA 3 issue. I got 3 HDDS, 1 CD-ROM + 1 intel SSD as a OS drive on the SATA 3 port + PCI card and it has problems at POST when overclocked.

I would guess this fix could help some, from Asus bios thread.

    2. If you are receiving random BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) under Windows 7 OS without any warning at stock or what appears to be stable OC settings, please download the following patch from Microsoft to have the problem fixed (98% fix rate): This hotfix will be in SP1.

    Dinos

Dinos I've used both pci 16x slot one at 8x & both at 16x.
It still gives me a real hard time booting with sli setup, 1 gtx580 noproblem at all.
There is a difference running both at 16x, look at the scores.

Ok after testing a few BIOS i have to say F6X is the most stable, but F7E requires less Vcore for the same overclocks.

    For example:

My 24/7 overclock of 4.5Ghz requires 1.285v in F6x while only requireing 1.275 in F7e, it's not much, but still noteworthy.

^^^On same note I will like to ask is there any difference in overclocking between F7e and F7a/b, F6x because on hwbot, I see most of the people managing above 5.35Ghz on the before mentioned older bios's. I jumped straight from F4x to F7e, hence asking. And though as Dinos mentioned I guess I have hit the Mhz wall but still praying somehow, something will make it run faster, :p

    But the temps... 10ºC more!

In the 16x ports there isn't space between them, right?
