About 20% increase in CPU power by my reckoning so if Linpack with SSE used 100W of CPU power then with AVX that would go up to ~120W. Temperature wise if Linpack with SSE produced a 40C rise over idle you might expect ~48C rise with AVX (20% increase).

LOL, I didn't knew that ASUS made a software to help OC... LOL...

Mine is stable at 4.8Ghz 1.35v

With the new ASUS Bios 1253, I made it past the 5Ghz, but it isn't worth the extra voltages...

    5ghz@ 1.41v
    5.1ghz@ 1.46v
    5.2Ghz@ 1.51v

I reached my cpu's ceiling... I only did those voltages as testing purposes, and he was at those voltages very little time... Only booting up to Windows 7, not tested for stability

Over 4.8Ghz it's not worth the trouble, too much volts, and too much temperatures

On the Extreme board the only time I see these false warnings when stability testing is when the system is not really stable. When stable AI Suite works fine, even from my iPad.

How?? Are u sure that isn't CPU-Z mis-reading the clock? Try to clear your CMOS, if that doesn't work RMA the cpu or the motherboard

Did everything, and it still shows me 68Mhz. I know I ain't using the 1.56.2 Beta of CPU-z, I've formated the pc and I was lausy enought not to back up it... But nonetheless this version have worked fine for me so far. I also used AIDA for double checking and it gave me the same results...

Btw anyone would be kind enought to run a 1M run in my bad speeds to see if they get the same result ? Because I find them a bit faster then it was suposed with this settings... But I dont run 1M in a while so it might just be me getting too outdated

    EDIT:

Lol, the board seems to point allways for 3400Mhz, if I set the multi 50x it will give me 68*50=3400, same for multi 37 as shown under... The this is for 37*92.8 I had a huge drop in performance.. WTF is going on...

Had the same type of issue yesterday after I installed new ram. I just set the memory timings and voltage and all of the sudden my BCLK Freq is stuck at 103.3 no matter what I tried it always booted to 103.3?? I loaded "Optimum Defaults" in bios and everything went back to normal.

Seems like the new 1253 BIOS is badly rushed and flawed. Stay away if you don't have major issues till everything settles and they finally release a good version.

So far looks like 1053 Beta is clocking best for most people. Be weary of flashing to the newer one, once you flash you can't go back

Is it possible to disable the bluetooth completely in UEFI, or do I just have to disable it in the Device Manager?

You have to disable it in Device Manager, unfortunately.

It's the stupid board... I put my cpu at stock, it reboots 2 times, then when he turns on, he has EIST on (wich i always turn off), and the BCLK goes always to 103.3mhz...

It's the BIOS (or UEFI, as u want to call it)...

Anyway BIOS 1253 is the best I had, I could pass 5ghz with this one, the others just stoped at 4970mhz.

Is it possible that I need more Vcore with 1253 than with 1003?
I would say it's not likely that degradation took place, because last stable settings on 1003 where 48x100, 1.300V, max temperature 78°C. Now I need 1.320V for 4.8GHz.
I didn't touch any advanced settings on either BIOS, just raising Vcore was enough.

Yeah many of us had 100% stable profiles on 1053 or the original BIOS that are now not stable with 1253.

They updated the hardware version in the BIOS on all the boards except the Deluxe, so only the Deluxe boards can roll back the BIOS. They are supposed to be working on a fix.
