I read all posts, although I asked because I am only and only waiting for the panel to have it in my system. If nothing gonna come within a week , I have to get another one. Thats the reason.
nm though, thanks for reminding me about ETA!

This version of the Aquaero looks to be the biggest step up in the Aquaero ever. The new product manual is great to compare the older ver 4 Aquaero with the Aquaero 5.

I plan to still use my Aquaero 4's, but will the new Aquasuite software benefit them too?

Just 19.8W (1.65A*12V) per channel?! At least 1st channel of powerboosted aquaero was able to suply 25, enough for driving DDCs. And whatever other features new one brings, more power output imho should have been main thing to improve in it. It looks almost as if artificially limited to boost extra sales of poweradjust 2 for more power output :/
    EDIT
Hmm, 2 extra PWM channels - good. That means i can drive at least my two MCP35X from it.
Also Pro version with old style 3 buttons (and probably cheaper and with IR optional) = good.
Saw also listed passive heatsink to boost AA5 handled power, without any numbers though for how much. :/
Well, maybe things will not be that bleak.
    EDIT2
My bad. Should have seen 2nd AA5 related thread first. Seems that with optional waterblock it should be much more powerful (maybe even enough for 2*D5 pumps?). Pitty that also not listed improvement in max power by attaching of such. And why PWM channels have only 2 pins in pic of back of AA5? :/

Two PWM connectors are 2-wired. no tach-sensing. moreover, PWM frequency is 16kHz, which is not good. The manual looks like a presentation booklet, while it should be should be more in software, Imho, cause Aquasuite 2012() looks totally different. and the price for a non-LT version is uber!

the 2 PWM channels are not meant to drive a MCP35x.

    Edit: a short explanation:

The AE5.0 has an PWM output similar to this picture: http://www.micromouseinfo.com/introd...ware/PWMod.gif

The MCP35x/4pin PWM fans however do this PWM INSIDE the actual pump/fanhousing, and the 4. pin is just the control signal, to "tell" the pump/fan how fast it should be running... excuse my english

Why exactly is 16kHz not good?

Actually, the XT is cheaper than the AE 4.0 VFD w/powerbooster and w/ "displayglas" (which is included in the XT version)

becuase PWM will create additional fan motor noises that you will hear( note poople hearing range - 20-20kHz)

Maybe that is because it IS a presentation We never said that this is the manual.

edit: oh, and maybe someone could close this thread since it is pretty stupid to have two of them...
