It is what it is & what you call it depends on how you look at it. I don’t see it as degrading as such its more like maturing to true stability. I would rather beat the golden edge off a chip in a few weeks than have to add a vcore bump every month for 6 months. I don’t like the D word & think many people have called a chip degraded when they were close to the top of what a chip could do temp wise only to find it wont do it anymore as it needs more voltage they cant cool.... SB is different my chip still does 5GHz @ 1.45v load CPU-Z & still runs in the mid 70's on air in my front room with a 15~20 ambient.
