its pure marketing of claiming the "fastest card" which nobody cares about except for whoever happens to have the "fastest card" at the point in time, isnt it?
just one question: why not? it'll have its benefits and since there have always been people who bought dual-gpu cards its existence is more than justified.

supply and demand. if there was no demand, dual-gpu cards would be dead already.
