09/10 Project

Hey guys, since my log got bumped i figured it would be a good time to say thanks to everyone .

On another note, and I hate to say it but, besides the last couple of cables on the aquaero sled, I have done absolutely no work on this project over the last few months. I have however been keeping very busy on other things .

Anywho...

hehe ... maybe we won't let you drop this thread out of sight, Callen. Maybe we will keep pressuring you for MOREEEEEE.

Hi Elle, I hope you took Shazza's advice below and decided to post a project .

As a reminder to myself, i keep my 2 previous projects in my XS albums folder. They're pretty embarrassing but I keep them so i can look back from time to time and see where I've made improvements (especially since the 07 build ). Go take a look and you'll see what i mean, but the point i'm trying to make is we all have to start somewhere, and personally i think starting a log can help you to improve immensely. You get so much great feedback from the community and it really helps to push yourself to do better .

I swear, every time I think that Callen's work can't get any better I catch up on old threads and it's like a baseball bat of pure modding ownage hitting you square in the face.

Just in case Callen doesn't pop back in soon (he is hesitant to respond again until he has another update for us ) - a comment for elle ...

I hope you're just joking about not posting your build because of the wonder that is Callen. We are all at different stages in our modding abilities (and needs!). Callen is really taking his mod to the next stratosphere ... but, it's not magic. He's taking his time, he's planning his work, and he's learning how to use his new tools. It's fascinating to watch, and we're all learning a bunch - just as he has learned from others.

So ... please don't let Callen's wonderful work stop you (or anyone else) from posting your project. That's not what Callen would want. Instead, be inspired and give it a go! It's not a competition, it's all about learning, sharing, and enjoying what you do.

Your exactly right Shazza, but i wouldn't expect any less from you . I just hope Elle decided to start a project in the end.. Thank you for jumping in and saying that too .

Amazing work on the controller. I really dig the whole explanation of the creation process. Definitely will be keeping an eye on this!

Me neither, then I saw Callen's name on the Murdermod website, googled him, and got no results. Now, today, I saw his name on another site I follow, and from there I was able to follow his work.

Yeah i'm not google famous yet . It would be cool to be able to google your name and see work you'd done, but would that make me vein? . I'll come back to this another day .

After going through this thread (ok at least checked every photo ) guess I know what a project is like.
So many great ideas and skills in here.

Especially like your 'aquaero-control-center'.
How many fans are you going to fire up with this beast?

I'll be controlling 5 fans in total (3 off of 1 header and 2 off of another). The other 4 headers are for 2 pumps and 2 sensors.

such craftsmanship, attention to detail and style...this is a real "build log"
cannot wait to see how this develops.

I knew i had to look into PCBs the second i saw Kibbler's worklog, and when i found out you could DIY, i jumped on board straight away .

It took a bit of trial and error but i got them just how i wanted them in the end .

Holy sh*tballs! I also just noticed your name on the murderMod website, Congrats mate! Make us Aussies proud. What sort of work will you be doing? I'm guessing producing/designing murderMod products?

For some reason, instead of me being happy for you, I find myself mad. Like incensed. I WANT that shop. Not that I NEED that shop, in fact I probably wouldn't know how to work half that stuff, but still.

PS is that a garage, your shop is in, or a climate controlled room. Because I have to go work in my poorly lit garage now, and I'm jealous if that is indeed a room with heat.

Hehe yeah i don't really NEED this stuff either, but hey, why not right . Most of the fun i had was learning how to use it all too!

The shop is just at the back-end of a garage, so no heating and no need to be jealous . I actually work in ugg boots in winter lol.

You've just set yourself up for disappointment Shazza . Besides finishing the aquaero sled power cables, I have nothing to offer at all , although, as you know, my time has been well spent . I'll post a couple of pics of the sled below but it's almost exactly the same as before .

Maybe the New Year claimed him...

Here's a couple of shots of the finished sled cabling. I tried sleeving them all, but realized soon after that they would no longer fit through the hole at the front of the sled . I actually like the bare cables in this case anyway -
