personally I think these will be great cards for the 1680x1050 crowd along with the GTX 560ti but 1GB is just not enough for any higher resolution... if they happened to discontinue the 2GB 6950 because of these cards that would be the worst move they could do. because for all of us on XS the 6970 is a joke considering it is more expensive then a GTX 570 and the 6950's can be unlocked so easy... the 6950 2GB is AMD's best looking card at the moment and even once then 1GB cards come out it will still be the best looking card...

edit: wopps totally thought this was the HD69XX's 1GB thread, pretty much the same discussion going on anyways
