dinos every time you post i cant help but laugh

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

    2600K SR00C - Stepping D2 - Batch L039B214
    ASUS P8P67 Pro -- 1053 beta bios
    Antec Earthwatts 650W
    GSkill value DDR3-1333

OCCT 1 hr stable results (volts are bios settings):
Max BCLK tested - 107 (haven't had time to try higher, may not bother)

    @ BCLK100 :
4.5 Ghz @ 1.30 volts (have not tried lower)
    4.6 Ghz @ 1.32-1.33 volts (1.33 definitely stable, still running 1.32 test)
    4.7 Ghz @ 1.36 volts
    4.8 Ghz @ 1.38 volts
    4.9 Ghz @ 1.40 volts
5.0 Ghz - locks immediately even at 1.40 volts - probably not going to try higher voltage

Cooling is (ancient, circa 2003) Koolance Exos 1/4" connector + Swiftech Apogee XT waterblock

I am thinking 4.6 ghz for 24/7 / gaming usage...

Load on vcore always seemed to stay within .1 of those #s per CPU-Z and ASUS AiSuite. example: 1.33 vcore that is running right now stays at 1.328
LLC is set to AUTO (not sure what the bios will actually do.. where should I start here?)

Very tempting to do 1.5V for 5+ ghz, but I hope to use this CPU for a while, waiting to see more stories on what voltage is too much for these things..

That doesn't sound like your board decided to turn on LLC, at 4.7Ghz, same batch as you, but mobo GA-P67A-UD4:

    BIOS VCore 1.40 -> CPU-Z Idle VCore 1.392 -> CPU-Z Load VCore -> 1.368

I think you are right on with your ranges on this batch, thanks !

How is the PLL overvolt option in the 1155 mobos affecting the OCs? I have heard that it greatly increases the stability at higher multipliers if you overvolt the PLL but I wanted to see some actual results.

I'm kind of curious to know how much vcore (load) it takes for these SB chips to run 4.5GHz stable for 24/7 use (i.e. folding/crunching). Any of these early samples able to run under 1.3v, 1.275v 1.25v etc?
Ryzen 9 on the test bench... Sometimes older generation/tech as well.

On my 2500k L040B354 I only need 1.32V (Load, 1.33 Idle) for 4.7GHz IBT stable for 4 hours+, stopped it to play video games.

This can be a really useful thread, but some results can disappear in activities. Since you asked fun, then you have to make a list on that first post you have created.

Ask "Zalbard" for help, or look at the list he has made for Intel 4.5GHz & 5GHz LinX Stable Club . It will be fun!
