You're saying the max multi allowed will vary from chip to chip? One batch might be 57x, one might be 55x. As if Intel is really gonna go into each batch and set the max multi differently... I think that matters more on the stepping, whether the person is using a D1 ES or D2 retail.

Had the same issue, 1.47v set in the BIOS, everything including CPU-Z reading 1.47v, but the validator showed 1.592v...weird. I just put it down to the silly speeds it was running at

First of all, I only care about D2, beeing the retails revision. Second, I am not saying anything, just stating what some guys that tested lots of CPU's found out. I think there is still work to be done on the bios if you ask me.

It's a good chip, I think that's just as high as it'll go on air/water though, any movement results in bsod when under load, but it's stable/benchable at that speed for most things, voltage doesn't seem to make any difference either. Can't complain though

Same VRM like on the UD9. 24 DrMOS chips. This can easy take 2 Gulftowns, Sandy Bridge is like....what ever...for this VRM

Not exactly the same, the UD9 uses two PWMs, this board uses a brand new isl 6366 which is VRD 12 certified, meaning it has the ability for SVID as well as the new PWM requirments. The board seems to have 24 phases just for CPU core, it seems uncore is powered by low RDS (ON) MOSFETs and 4 chokes. I see that same power for the UD5 with the extre chokes where the NF200 shoudl be , but there is no NF200 on the UD5 so i think its for CPu uncore(system agent).

SVID is in play it seems, my VID keeps changing for some reason, very wierd stuff. Seems like you can just walk up multi to around 4.5 and VID will increase slightly with it as well, and i think this is the proper implementation of svid.

Total system power consumption measured at the plug without heavy GPU aka gpu is like 10 watt x1550 low profile(POS) goes to 130w load at 5.2ghz with 1.53vcore LLC 2, which is amazing, and them exceeds tdp loading off heat like non other under heavy cpu stress like IBT.

Sadly i only have a D1 stepping cpu, pll unlock seems to do nothing. BUT i have heard mprovments from MANY with D2 steppers.

H67MA-UD2H is a very nice board, but I am concerned regarding the price. This will be Gigabyte's top H67 board, so it might not be that cheap. Anyway, strooong little bugger it is

I take it that the GB H67MA-UD2H allowed (or allows) CPU overclocking? Or you meant something completely different?

It does not allow overclocking for CPU.

there are three ISL chips. One only controls the 24 phases, that is the isl 6366, the others are two phase buck pwms, one for RAm, and i think the other for NF200 maybe uncore. The UD9 had two exact same 6 channel PWMs control all 24 phases. This new pwm is obviously more advanced.

CPU-Z is reading your QPI/VTT same on my UD5, there is a special new version of CPU-Z out for the GB boards.... I'll go find the link.

I simply noticed reviewing screen shots that CPU-Z was reading different numbers one day & on further investigation I found it was moving in relation to the QPI/VTT I was setting. I mentioned that IMO CPU-Z was reading QPI/VTT in the thread I linked to & Pt1t suggested there was going to be a version of CPU-Z for the GB P67 boards which he later posted & I linked.

I have tested the new version & it still appears to read the same i.e not fixed voltage.

Sorry dont know much more about it.

Did is the Gigabyte has confirmed that it intends to introduce full UEFI implementations (friendly graphical interface with 1024x768 resolution,support mouse,more languages - Asus efi bios currently support 6 languages ,Msi efi bios support 15 languages and other efi features ) to their bios the socket 1155, AM3 + and future sockets ??? because for now uses it hybrid efi bios.

one could surely do with the Bios would be chip version of the classic elements of efi bios and full efi bios with support for mouse-friendly graphical user interface, support for multiple languages.
Did Gigabyte hybrid efi bios, running in 32-bit or 64 bit mode and is immediately available to boot the system, all memory. If your motherboard bios P67 B3 operates in 16 bit mode and is available for the latter only 1 MB of memory??
