I also had to set similar volts to achieve 238 BCLK. The ss i posted hitting 238 was W/O Slow Mode. When I get bored I'll see how far I can get with it
of course 259 bclk was on slow mode, I hit 4100MHz qpi link with slow mode on that bclk, without it will be around 5000+MHz qpi link and that is impossible.

I cant go over 234 on air cooled CPU and motherboard because it starts throttling over 4200MHz qpi link speed. I think with better cooling on the CPU and board it will go higher easy.

Slow mode is ok for 2D benching and I get similar scores with slow mode and without. But for 3D slow mode is useless.

I did some testing of 4.4 HT On vs 4.5 HT Off in wPrime 1024M and Vantage CPU test to confirm my findings which I saw when running Vantage with HT On vs HT Off. Here are the results which show a big difference favoring the lower clock speed with HT ON.

    4523Mhz HT OFF wPrime 1024M

    4438Mhz HT ON wPrime 1024M

    4523Mhz HT OFF Vantage

    4438Mhz HT ON Vantage

Is there such thing as a QPI speed WR or such?

What do you mean it starts throttling over 4.2ghz?

Thanks for that quick test. I'll be sticking to HT on for sure, because if it helps with 3d then that is mainly all I care about..gaming performance. Benching is 2nd priority in that sense lol.

I dont think that competition for QPI speed WR exists. But higher stable Qpi link speed means little more performance in 3D benching.

Throttling means that CPU speed start to go up and down by itself, rapidly changing CPU multiplayer or bclk when you pushed over the limit. In my situation 4200MHz on qpi link speed is the limit on air cooled CPU and the board.

I probably use the wrong word (throthlig), but it is close enough to describe the problem.

sorry but my english is little bit limited.....

Oh I see. Ill be resetting-up my loop and giving the old cold weather oc runs a go again to get some ideas of whether my setup can do 4.5 ht on or not.

Okay. Thanks for clarifying. Great results on air none the less.
