I'm using Win 7 64bit Ultimate, and can not find any WMP 12 download link in M$ website since its included in Win 7 ultimate ( which now, I dont have the WMP 12 ) !!!
Uninstall and then reinstall WMP 12. Windows -> Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Turn Windows features on or off -> Media Features -> Windows Media Player. Untick the box, let it remove, and then retick the box to reinstall.
