If you want to ship it with a sticker this would get my vote:

    Gabe,
I really like the ideas expressed here. and the way you seem to be responding to user input so I figured I would add mine..
Since you are hinting at the "adaptability" of the cooler why not include both stickers with the blocks and also make the template available on your website so owners could make their own custom graphics and apply them.
The level of personalization is endless that way. I know your printing cost would go up alot but perhaps the increase in volume would offset that.
I also think a stainless plate option or other inlays could be a nice option for customising.

BTW: I own 2 6970s and will be buying blocks so I do speak as a potential customer, Most of my liquid gear is your stuff anyway!!

@philwong: I cannot change the shape of the sticker, the cutting die is already made. I can only change the graphics. Not crazy about the carbon pattern. I do agree with keeping the naming convention; I cannot add our logo to the sticker, production is already going on the housings, that would be a duplicate.

@ no sticker advocates: sorry, you can always remove it if you don't like it, but we are already committed on the use of the sticker.

In general: I liked Pado's grouping of the model with the AMD logo. I thought you guys liked the red matrix background; but I am not feeling and overwhelming support for it here.

Consensus seems to go towards maximum simplicity.

    Back to drawing board.
I've got some things up my own sleeve, it would have been nice for you to upload a sticker template.

I still feel the smaller sticker with dead spaces by the sides "jagging" and would rather go without it to make the block more presentable. The reason why I dropped all the Radeon logo and stuff is because I feel this is a Swiftech product and not something from AMD. You might like to check whether there's any copyright issues as well.

For me, sticker design simplicity and key messages such as your own branding and Komodo series are more important. I believe this smaller "Powered by Swiftech" labeling approach was first introduced for OEM products for EVGA and is best kept that way.

thanks for feed-back- yes it'd be nice to have multiple choices, but way too expensive, and making their own sticker would be difficult to execute for users in practice.

I didn't think of it, and if someone asked, I didn't pick-up on it, sorry. but the idea is what counts..

copyrights: the original was submitted to AMD as courtesy. But use of the logo is governed by this agreement

Design message: thought out like a true corporate guy eh; need a job ?

Powered by swiftech: yes you are absolutely correct as to how it started, but I think it also works when we market on our own, also understanding the fact that the OEM product contributes in installing the important Powered By Swiftech technology message.

Another one to cater to your parameters. The carbon graphite texture blends better with the delrin color.

Wow, you're offering me a job??

I liked it better with the swiftech logo in the middle since it gave it that 'pop'
But that would make the engraving redundant; although maybe that's where the solution lies? This is a toughy.
Might not even need a flashy sticker just like everyone proposes.

Edit: Could even have the 'swiftech' logo in the middle (as a sticker or large engraving) and engrave 'Komodo HD6970' in the bottom right corner.

Although most Radeon graphics are pretty aggressive, which is what I tried to incorporate, I'm more for a minimalist approach. The 'Swiftech' branding is what should be dominant because whoever is buying the block would already know which card it is for, thus doesn't need to be "in your face" advertised and majority of the time you can't even see the sticker once its installed.

    Food for thought.

Honestly I like all the designs...I think he should include interchangeable stickers in the box (That's a joke, considering the cost of printing the extra stickers that won't happen.)

I also liked phil's design better with the swiftech logo in the center.

i'd like to see "internal structure" on the sticker. may be not exact copy of it, but some water path would be nice with 'industrial' look...

Anyways, I tried to incorporate the grid pattern that Swiftech tends to use on some of your boxes.

This has my vote! Do this design and you may verywell be the waterblock of choice for my two 6970's

Core 2 Duo(Conroe) was based on the Intel Core Duo(Yonah) which was based on the Pentium M(Banias) which was based on the Pentium III(Coppermine).

Core 2 Duo is a Pentium III on meth.

    Final render

    Here is the final render.

This retains Pado's pin matrix pattern, but in a more subtle fashion.

I want to thank you all for your input, and conclude by a judicious observation made by my 13 year old daugter: "but Dad, what's important is how it works, No? "

I preferred Pado's original, but I suppose this is good. It's lightyears ahead of the first one.

Stickers are for kids The final result of this however is worlds apart from the original. Glad to see XS could help out, hopefully Pado gets a hookup and ego inflation on seeing his design concepts on these blocks

why large sticker? to cover a whole bunch of screw holes in the housing

get the block out: block is in production already, sticker not delaying anything

I think that sticker is a great compromise.

Maybe another thought for the next run of water cooling blocks is some sort of plastic cover to cover up the screws instead of a sticker? I know it would add to cost, but maybe people would prefer that as it would be one solid flowing piece.
