oh yeah, definitiely... and i cant believe amd was so arrogant and ignorant to assume nvidia would just stick its tail behind its legs and sit in the corner... i mean ffs, this is nvidia... they are VERY good at coming back once you place a nice hit on their head...
would be great but i dont think itll be a lot faster and cheaper than a 470...
and yes 460s fly when clocked high, so does any other card :P
and the 460 ocing a lot more than other cards is a myth seeded by nvidia, it actually only clocks a few percentage points higher than any other card.
except for the 6900 series, they dont seem to clock for SHT!
anyways, will the 560 replace the 470? theres no doubt about it... is there?
will the 560 beat the 470? definitely!
EDIT: will the 560 beat the 470 at high res and aa? i dont think so
will the 560 be cheaper? unlikely... 200$ is the lowest point i see for gf114 during its lifetime which is only 50$ below its launch price and a 470s current price.
so will the 560 have a better cp ratio than a 470? yes, but insignificantly...
and come on people, theres a lot of wishful thinking in this thread...
you really believe a fully enabled and well clocked gf104 (gf114) can match/beat a maxed out 470? the latest 470s beat 480s and 570s when maxed out so think again before you say yes...
cause a tweaked, boosted, overclocked 460 will rock, but it wont reach 480/570 performance...
then again, never say never... if it would, it would be damn impressive and i might actually get one
EDIT: think about it again, if a fully enabled well clocked 460 could beat and replace the 470, then why, i ask you, has nvidia not released such a card?
instead they kept the 460 castrated and lowered the price of the 470 to fill that segment, a part that costs them a lot more to make then a 460...![]()
