wow nice framrates....that 2g of ram comes in handy'
toaster oven comes to mind thuo(unless they have a new bios like they usally have to do) its as hot as 480??? eats up more power then i'm used to seeing from an amd card too!!
maybe someone can cook eggs on it this week? the stuff that would not cook on a 480 would get well done on the 6970 np.
You get what you pay for...

    I find it funny when they compare 69x0 to a 5870 with 1gb when there's a 2gb version..

Not really impressed with the 6970 to be honest. Though the 2GB is nice but it seems quite disappointing, it still can't beat the GTX 580 and they had to cut the shader count, most likely to save power similar to GTX 480.

also iirc, 5870 2gb performed basically the same as a 1gb card unless you were pushing very high resolutions and stupid amounts of AA.

enough percentage to close the difference gap, not to mention the better minimum fps people are noticing..

It runs hotter but uses less power than 570.

In Battleforge it's slower then 5870 seems 6970 performance is all over the place.

Are you just looking at TDP? Look at the power consumption, it consumes less than GTX 570.

This is disappointing. I think pricing is where AMD can win. It's needs to be priced the same as the 5870 on release.

Those 2 reviews used media released 10.11betas. I'll be curious to find how these compare to the 10.12s (which will be the drivers the end user should be using provided they don't use the ones provided on the driver disk )

It looks like they went back to the 4870 1GB design of lower fan speed / higher temps. I personally don't mind this to be honest, those cards were quite pleasent.

Based on what has been revealed so far the 6950 should be well recieved

As far as pricing 370 is decent but with the hint of their pricing increasing come Jaunary it is a tad disappointing. I bought my 5870 launch day for 420cnd and they were up to 440 shortly after.

benchmarkreviews is a pretty biased site.. should see their "opinion" piece - made charlie look sane

BTW the Vr-Zone power figures are w/ PowerTune set at +20%. You can extrapolate what it is without it

Yeah, it does. Slower and hot... with price hike in jan announced too. It's ok but not special so far.
