Were GTX580 and GTX570 announced by nVIDIA? Not even an announcement of an announcement. And here they are.

Well, im not saying there exists one or not. Just that its possible, while you are plainly denying it, based on pointless arguments, while having an orgasmic chill same time, just because.

    here some more nice insiders information about the 6970 single and CF;

According to Neliz @ gathering of tweakers forum:

''6970 is 50% sneller in Furmark dan een 580, om even te laten zien dat er niet (of minder) aan throttling doet.

tevens zie ik een benchmark met 87fps @5760x1080 in batman:aa

6970 CF zou ook tussen 10% en 50% sneller moeten zijn dan 480 sli op die resolutie.
6970 is tussen de 10 en 30% sneller dan de 570 in de meeste benchmarks''

Translated (dutch is my mother tongue so sorry for some misspelling):

The 6970 is 50% faster in Furmark than the GTX 580, to show that there is non or much less throttling involved.

    Furthermore he saw a benchmark with 87FPS @ 5760x1080 with Batman:AA.

The 6970 in CF will also be between 10% and 50% faster than the GTX 480 in SLI with that resolution (5760x1080).

The 6970 is between 10 and 30% faster than the GTX 570 in most of the benchmarks.

ok since you ask so nicely

3 monitor setup on a single card
    2GB RAM
    2dv + hdmi port
    unknown slider option

cheaper for almost same performance, hardly to notice small fps difference.
less power consumption so way cheaper in the long run.
able to do CF in the near future with APU for free.
new catalyst CC with AMD logo

waiting for official reviews to add to the list....
looking at the early foto's : availability, or at least a few cards from the same vendor at the same time... still hardly able to do that in EU, not to mention able to find decent amount of 570 which should be volume product.

This might be AMD trying to say to nvidia, "look what we could do with a 390mm^2 die - match and even beat your ~500mm^2 beast (GTX 480) in all areas with less power consumption!"

I think this is where the 5xx series might've surprised them though, with the lower power comsumption and temps etc.

But meh, what do i know.

see nothing you said really is an extra ...

That's funny. Some dudes were even recomending GTX295 over HD5870 because it's awesome (just on par with 5870). ¿Microstuttering, min fps? that's not important.

Even if they exist, it's an nvidia dual gpu, it's expensive, so it's awesome

Yeah i think we can agree they are using the same PCB for the 6900 series. Just look at the extra 2 pin on the left 6pin power connector AND there we have the vapor chamber !

i made the mistake of suspecting that JUST MAYBE this thread had gotten civilized over night, turns out it all just got worse... I reckon I will follow your lead and just look at the pictures from now on and wait for a real review.
