Alien Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 by ryba! 7xWR

Probably you saw that I stopped benching for a while all gay benchmarks with even more gay nowadays hardware so I decided to move my ass back in time and start benching old go(o)d stuff. Less problems with voltage, temps, RMA and all what we have now.

Why E6400? Why not Why that crappy board? Becouse it's what we love - take cheap board as hell and beat x4 more expensive "gamers" stuff. Nowadays it's hard to make in that way.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 - random OEM from USA
Asus P5K Vanilla - Vcore, Vdimm mod
    2x1GB Crucial D9GMH - thx Milans!
2x1GB OCZ Titanium Alpha D9GKX - random from allegro
    SF3D Inflection Point

Where is beggining of that story? Like always my BFF MaSell was talking bull at MSN to me, so I decided shut up his face (there is some gossip, that after this achivment sadly he go to Tailand have some sex-holidays).

Ok. So what we have here? 6x WR on E6400 (I don't carre about PCMark - it's for gays with moustache) and one overall WR - FSB on 65nm CPU. Couldn't find something better anywhere, so I think it's WR

ok, stop talking, screen shots will say everything

Looking at HWbot -> few hundreds MHz more than others... yeah B-)

    End words:
    • OCZ was a little bit better than Crusial for SuperPI, Pifasta and CPU-z. For wPrime CPU or PWM was limitted for higher MHz.
    • FSB... on X48 (RE, P5E3 Premium) 65nm CPUs making worse FSB Walls than on P35 and I can't find good motherboard for it with DDR3 now.

It's not all folks, stay tuned

    Pis, low end marchewka.

It's a BOOT.INI tweak profitable for Superpi bench, easily tweakable in MSCONFIG, BOOT tab, advanced options dialog

I love the overclock duuuude P5K vanilla was such a great little board , I've done a thread just before it was released I remember it well someone on XS that probably has 100K views by now lol. I remember the change from P965 to P35 was such a breath of fresh air at the time...... That CPU is not from this planet!

so MaSell is still around where the hell is he hiding

Wow nice clock, reminds me of the good old days when i had my E6400 with my 680i board...

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

Very nice clocking, makes me want to dig up my old P5K and start playing round with some 65nm again, those days were fun And that hardware is so cheap now, can pickup a few good second hand deals.

    Congrats on records!

I experienced that too, seems that p35 is "tuned" for conroes. Will grab another p5k vanilla as well My previous had some problems with high voltage.

Wow, amazing chip! Great work mate!

Some X48 as P5E3 Premium or Rampage Extreme is really good for FSB, but is rare :/

I did 697 FSB with E8600 under DI.

Problem with X48 boards (P5E3 Premium and RE) is in BIOS. They are not good for 65nm cpus The same with last one for P5K only 490FSB! Downgrate to 04xx and I had 570FSB on the same setup :P
