Hey everyone.. Just updated to the WHQL drivers 1046. Here is the atto with my drives still dirty as can be. I still have never done a secure erase and my 60GB vertex2's raided are about 60% full.
These vertex raid 0 are still reflecting close to theoretical highs for read and writes. Very cool. The old 9 series drivers never let me get above 500 in read and write in the state they are now with ATTO. Let me load some other benches see if anything else changed.![]()
anyone running this driver in their 24/7 machine?
No, not for 24/7 usage.
I've been using it on my bench machine for quite some time and there are a few minor issues.
1) If you've got a SF based SSD, you can't update the firmware.
2) A couple of times I've been unable to format drives.
Performance wise, all in all, a bit better than the 9.X drivers.
I'll be keeping 9.6 on my main rig for now.

Hardware:
Newer driver out 10.1.0.1008 and WHQL. Seems about the same performance wise. Station Drivers. Looking for a changelog.

I am about to start playing with RAID drives and would like to know any thoughts and or negative on these versions. I plan on testing 2xC300 256 followed by 2XSamsung 470 256 followed by....hmmm can I get 4 256 in RAID 0?
Why is Intel not putting these on their official site?

Just installed these today, haven't had any problems with them or the previous versions which I've been running with since they came out.
I have no idea. Intel's always been stingy with their drivers. You have to back alley that shiznit. And for god's sake lets get trim for raid already. I'm starting to think it's not possible with the current chipsets.

these new drivers didn't give me any issues but I did go back to the 1046 version, just seems better to me
because that version will never be released. the second one might, but will probably not. there will be many revisions of this before it is released. that is why i will not use it until it is released on the intel website. these are incomplete drivers, which might have bugs that can kill your data.Why is Intel not putting these on their official site?

@peakr...emphasis added bro.
if it was done, it would be released. proceed at your own risk. might be bad, might not. regardless of WHQL you must take into account that it is a 'leaked' version, and not officially posted on intel site. there is a reason for that. what the reason is, im not privy too, and neither are you. so like i said, take your chances.which might have bugs that can kill your data.
