Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?
Dude, this is insane! I just read all... 28 pages of this build log. Keep on chuggin' Sweeper!

Wow!
I tried reading through the thread, but how exactly is the cooling chamber going to work? I imagine pulling a vacuum to remove moisture, but that also removes the air (cooling medium via evap) right?
I am interested because I would like to try such a cooling chamber experiment myself, but I wonder if the vacuum would make chilled air cooling the mobo components etc meaningless?
i would think the best way to rid moisture is to put a little chamber of silica crystals somewhere and divert some air flow through them... sandwiched between some perspex with a few leds behind then could make for a nice effect.
edit:
im curious is it not the evaporation of the refrigerant that cools? why not vent the coolant directly into the chamber therefor creating a cold atmosphere for the mobo rather than running it though heat exchangers and radiators... just a thoughtwont look as cool i guess..

Nice looking unit but after so much time on this thing, it would be nice to prove it's viability as a super cooler.
Hey Sweeper, justa quick nudge, any more updates as to the Uber System? Been over 5 months since your last post, wondering if everything's ok and if you've made any progress on the system? Is it nearly ready to fire up?
...and now, let's see what trying _this_ does....

Hey guys!
I'm still alive and kicking, just don't have much time for my hobbies or much of anything at this time. The company I work for is relocating me and my family to Florida. I've been commuting back and forth, since June...what a nightmare! I should be relocated by January and hopefully I can manage a little free time to finish a few things.
I really appreciate all of you keeping this thread alive and for all the many compliments! I have made progress since my last post and when I find some time, I'll post some pics.
Thanks again everyone!
Please do post some! It looks astonishing!![]()
Xtreme Cooling makes even more sense in Florida. Enjoy your Holiday break (if you get one).

Any more news since you've moved? I see your sig now shows Fla, gotta love it this time of year, esp compared to up here in the great white north. Hope it went well, and that you've gotten settled in, and maybe, just maybe you've had a little spare time to spend with your "2nd child" ;-) Looks like the last we saw of it, it was coming along quite well, and seemed (at least by the pics) that it was sorta near completion? What's the scoop? We're all waiting with bated breath, doncha know? :-)

Well, finally moved in our new house and enjoying the weather in Florida. The traffic can be a pain sometimes, but its all good. As far as the project, I haven't touched it, since the move. I really don't have the working space at my new house to finish building the project. Everything is still in crates from the move. I thought about disassembling the project and sell the components or spend more money to finish the last cascade, then sell the whole system. I'm not sure what to do with the project at this time. I enjoy spending time with my son and even if I complete the project, I know I will not make good use of it for extreme overclocking...just don't have the time.
If I start working on the project again, I will make sure to keep you guys posted. Everyone on this forum has been very supportive and I greatly appreciate all the great comments and advice.

Even if you do not complete the project, it was a good read! I know extreme builds sometimes fall by the wayside and priorities change. I see it in enthusiast automotive builds all the time.
It took me couple of hours to get thru all 28 pages. And it was worth it!
This is by far the most incredible piece of cooling i have ever seen.
That's just too extreme even for xtreme systems!
Have you ever tough of writing a book about this project? This project has every thing, cooling, drama, bad ass components, pressure over the top, horror, kid's, comedy, wife's...
Too bad you haven't finish it. I was rilly hoping that you did.

Just wondering if this project was scrapped or is still ongoing.
Learned my lesson. Always check final page of thread to see if project is completed before commencing marathon thread crawl of all 28 pages of awesomeness only to find it not finished and that it never even really saw the light of day. Hoping Sweeper or somebody else can take this project up again and see it through to fruition, and put a damn system in itIt really is a Goliath of cooling solutions and still amazes me how much time and care has been taken with it, it deserves to be completed, can only remember one other such crazy build, the 5 stage cascade from Germany.
Sweeper, you have an international list of people here who need to see this beast turned over![]()
Guys, I really appreciate the interest in wanting to see the build complete. But at this time, I'm not set-up to work on the build. I still have all my equipment and Goliath in crates. I will be moving again in May, so after the move, I might break out the tools to finish the project.
