My MA790XT-UD4P was a great board, especially for the price. It wouldn't run my 2X2GB kit of Ripjaws @ spec with the 1600 multiplier. If you look at the description of memory support for the board, it says support for 1333, support for 1600 (OC). So I dropped to the 1333 multiplier, cranked the ref clock, and got 1666 777 1T out of my inexpensive ram kit on an inexpensive mobo, and then I cranked it up to over 350 for one of Simon's fixed multiplier challenges.
However I can't make it work with my new 2X4GB kit. I'll post back to let you know if the ram does work well on a different board (C4F coming), or was defective.
I'm still curious if anyone has used 8GB at speed on this board. And I still like the board
