You know what I would do if you are only using 2 cards? Just hook up the 2 cards and let the 3rd slot hang there unless it would provide interference...
All the bridges i have work, and the method you suggested is the one I am using but I want it to look good too...

Just a quick question, are the old SLI Bridges from the 8800 series the same as the new onec?
Just wondering coz i will be getting my 580s next week and they don't include a SLI bridge...

@ mp3, yes the bridges are the same they haven't changed, so your old SLI bridge will work fine.
