You do understand even on my R2E with the new lotes socket it also says foxxconn? And I'm pretty sure my RE3 says the same too. Check the main socket, and take a picture of it. if the two extended prons/tabs are large, and has a LARGE endent then that means its a LOTES socket, if its only a little endent that its a foxxconn.
The lotes socket does improve oc ability by a little bit. My old R2E died, first revision and 1st release in Taiwan had a foxxconn, had many problems, asus swapped it out, got a lotes socket, bclk and Oc ability improved a little bit on my 920 C0 one of the 1st few batches.
PS Most boards with LGA1366 Backplates has the marking with Foxxcon, but IT DOES NOT MEAN THE SOCKET ITSELF IS FOXXCON. Check the retention bracket and see if it has LOTES marking, or check the two tabs that hold down part of the chip and headspreader.
