EK-FC6970 waterblock undergoing testing. Sadly I have fried the HD6970 card and I'm forced to test with HD6950. Quite a nice card though, fast as hell.
My first impressions are that the card is running a tad 'hotter' than HD5800 series - or at least sensors show it that way. Also the idle temperatures are higher than the HD5800 both with water block and the stock cooler.
System specs:
- Intel Ci7 950 @ 4GHz, 1.4Vcore
- Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 rev2.0
- 3x2GB Exceleram Red Culvert (E30104A) DDR3-1600
- Corsair TX650W PSU
Cooling:
- CPU: EK-CPU Supreme LT
- MB: EK-FB KIT GA X58A (UD7 rev2.0) prototype
- GPU: EK-FC6970 prototype
- EK Coolstream XT 360 + 3x Yate Loons @ 1350rpm
- Swiftech D5 + EK X-TOP D5
- 12mm ID clearflex tubing
- coolant temp: 37.4 - 37.5°C - measured with Greisinger GMH-3230 J-type thermometer
Default 800/1250MHz, with stock voltage 1000/1350MHz was no sweat for Furmark. Needs a bit more volts though

Niko
