Im updating x-fi mb apps with new versions all the time (when i find something new), however dont think they have much influence on working of x-fi mb package, but since there is new version... why not until something breaks

Running at ddr2 -1067(9) cant remember lol
    with 5-5-5-12 timing
    Dram Static - off

    Mode - Stronger

    Performance Level 7

    cpu -1.32500v LLC on

    CPU PLL -1.520

    NB 1.31

    RAM 1.84 stable (testing 1.80)

    FSB Termination 1.26

    Cpu Gtl x63

    NB Gtl x67

Cpu Clock delay - delay 100

    I'm back with more question

I think somewhere on page 14x on this thread you stated that CMD. file generates those .kg something files on common file folder right?

if I copy those and put them where they should be after reformat. I don't have to run the cmd file and I wont have a risk of the virus at all?(100%)? and it will work as is?

I decided to try overclocking my q9450 on this board once again because at ~3.3GHz the CPU was my bottleneck for Fallout:NV (not very optimized for multi-core obviously).

I'm trying for 3.6GHz which should not be a problem considering I was stable at 3.3 without adding much if any volts. I just don't understand why it is so damn hard. Nothing makes sense with this board. I understand what is happening with the CPU GTL but the board doesn't seem to follow logic at all. It is like trying to break a combination lock - you just have to get lucky...

Can someone tell me what the minimum VTT I would need to set to achieve 450MHz FSB? I don't want to keep guessing with that because with every change in VTT I it seems I have to redo all my other settings.

So finally I've managed to found out what was making the problems with the sound while I was using headphones.
It was X-Fi CMSS-3D, as long as I have it enabled on some youtube movies the sound is distorted and on some it is not.

Dunno why is that feature making troubles but disabling this options seems to help.

My Q9450 was stable at FSB 450MHz with FSB Termination Voltage 1.24V in BIOS or 1.14V real and CPU GTL Voltage Reference 0.63X and NB GTL Voltage 0.67X.

With my Q9650 I don't need more than 1.20V in the BIOS or 1.10V real.

Has anyone tried to integrate Intel RST Option ROM 10.0.0.1046 into any Rampage Formula Bios?
    http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=91224

It seems kind of tricky. If you done it would you like to share your bios?

    Thank you!

i did intergrate it in to 0001 bios (im always updateing this bios rom with new modules, however im not changing name so only way to know is if date/time of file changes): http://solor.wtf.la/Asus.Rampage.For...D/1002bMOD.ROM

there is also updated ezflash module, now it can read disks attached to raid controler and ntfs file system.

I would also like to know how to do this.

PS/Alien Grey, is the XS-Rampage-ASUS-Extreme-0002.rom worth the upgrade over the official ones?

Does the XS-Rampage-ASUS-Extreme-0002.rom also have it?

How can i know that? I didnt mod any Extreme BIOS my self and no original 0002 bios does not have up2date modules... not sure what XS stands for, so maybe you should ask that guy that added "XS" to it and before you ask, yes i could mod extreme bios however i dont really want to do it, since i cant test it my self and check for random bugs...

Yes it is. With that BIOS you can choose the tREF timing and when you've got everything really stable you can use 16120T to give you the best bandwidth.

No, it doesn't have the updated option ROMs yet.

I added the "XS-" so the old download link wouldn't work anymore because some guys are saying that the Special 133 Mode doesn't work and causes trouble. There is a link in the ASUS Beta BIOS thread on XS so that everyone on the forum can download it.

I also asked in the thread why they didn't release a BIOS for the ASUS Rampage Formula with the Special 133 Mode but I don't think that anyone from ASUS is going to give an answer on the question. The support still sucks. You've got problems, they confirm them and that's it.

Did you also add ASUS SLIC to the latest BIOS update?

I'm not sure but I think that JohnZS also updates the Option ROMs in the ASUS Rampage Extreme BIOS. Maybe he already has one with BIOS 0002.

I'll give it a try to see if there's any difference with the latest Option ROMs. You'll never know if it fixes something.

    @SoLoR

The flash went good. I'm very happy to see that ASUS EZ Flash has support for NTFS. I didn't test it to see if it still working and if it's possible to flash from my HDD. I'll try it later.

Perhaps you can edit the text in the BIOS where it says that it doesn't support NTFS.

I did a quick LinX test and everything seems stable. Thanks a lot.

edit: i did fix this as well, also noticed that with updating ezflash module, you also update cmos saving/loading module, so that one also supports ntfs now...

Does this mean that we can save/load overclock profiles directly to the HDD?
