Yes, I have much higher backups for the 2x core pcmv.

I was trying to up my 1x pcmv score but running into a road block - I hope Mr. Transam is having better luck!

    Help!

    Current config –
Celeron 440 at 3500, 1.7v (currently on air to work out the bugs - then move to the cascade)
    New uber memory - Corsair Dominator CM3X1024-1800C7DIN DDR3-1800 - @ 1400 6-5-5-18-2T PL-6, 2.2v (looks like mobo will not run 1T)
    Gigabyte GA-EP45T-USB3P mobo
    AMD 5870 (1000/1300 1.325v)
    Storage – 12xR0 acard 9010, 4xR0 crucial C300 64GB all on an areca 1880-16-4GB

My problem – all is well until I get to the pcmv gaming 1 test.
The gaming 1 test appears to complete but then hangs with a black window and with the pcmv completion wheel just continuing to go in a slow circle.
I have waited for up to 5 minutes – no change - just hung.

What I have tried – all with no success
    Lower (slightly lower) cpu oc
Run memory timings at stock for 1400
No oc on the video card
    Different video card (GF 8400)
Remove the areca and put acards on ICH10R
Alternate OS – both W7x64 (ultimate and home) and vistax64, haven’t tried x32
    X32 pcmv application

I think I could post a decent score if i could get over this one problem.

What else should I try, any ideas?

as far as the should I intel or amd the best combo is a 145 sempron and amd FX chipset board using ddr2. EVen the best ddr3 board is going to crap out around 300-350htt. the ddr2 FX boards will do 400+ and chew proved this to me when I was at his house. Before we killed my 1st 145 c3 we were at 5.6 ghz. 14x400=5600

I think the best I could do on ddr3 on 145 was 350htt on this asus and it was sketchy. its a fact. amd and htt over 400 is ddr2 only at this point unfortunately.

steve the same gametest1 issue is affecting everyone in stage 1. I thought I was the only one. I just keep moving the mouse around and pray sometimes after 2 loops after the test it might go into test2. its hit or miss. I think the best luck I had with with the gaming test issue was running in 32 bit mode. maybe i just got lucky but the majority of the time especially at higher clocks i get the loop. Ive tried reinstalling pc vantage and its the same crap each time. I even tried removing my vga drivers and trying a different one. no luck. At least this makes this part of the contest even more competitive. its no longer who can get the most points. now its who can get into test2 gaming.

I swapped the single core off my bench table and plugged in the i5 660 @ 3.9 on the stock cooler on the maxIIIF and 5770 and im getting around 9k with the lsi. this in the details screen i see abysmal hdd performance. Is there a fast way to see if my hdd score is fixed? Like running atto or cdm beforehand so I dont spend 25 min just trying to see if my hdd is optimised? maybe i should install pc05 and do that hdd test. I think it took like 4 minutes and I could see right away if I had it going right or not. I'll try that.

I went on FM and saw this.

    PCMark® Vantage 1.0.2.0 Patch
    The patch updates the following:

    * Updated System Info component version to 3.21.2.1
    * Removed OS edition and display resolution checks
    * Addressed a crash issue in GPU image manipulation test
    * Installation package: PCMark_Vantage_v102_1901.exe

Note: This patch does not affect any results.

I wonder if this is the problem? I never patched. I just assumed latest full exe had it already in. did anyone do this and still get the loop bug after gaming test1?
