I had an issue monitoring software raids a few post back.
overthere informed me about using drive letter + ? (i.e I? for drive I) for software raids and it worked 
Problem solved!
Notice that I've highlighted Control I/O (TRIM related)

TRIM does work on Software RAIDS in W7
